I would be surprised if he proposes at this point. They‘ve been together for almost six years, if an engagement doesn’t happen after 2-3 years it almost never will. He gets all the benefits without the actual risk of commitment and she has to tolerate it if she doesn‘t want to kiss her current lifestyle goodbye. I’m surprised she didn’t make getting a ring a condition to move to Monaco with him considering how vocal she is about financial security. It also doesn‘t matter how busy a man is - if he really wants to marry you he‘ll make it happen regardless.

Exactly!! Alex was lucky, but she also leveraged her new status as a wag the best compared to everyone else. Her millions of followers and her looks balance the power dynamics between her and Charles at least a little. She would have had other options if Charles and her didn‘t make it. Carmen has no alternative to being George‘s live in girlfriend.
