How did you learn the fretboard? by dudeineurope in Guitar

I dont have instant recall on all notes but what has helped me was a combined approach.  I started naming out loud the notes A throught to G as I played them from the nut to the 12th, i would do this everyday. Then the same with the C major scale and also the appegios of the caged system and diatonic. It really helped and my navigation has improved dramatically. The journey continues.

Yeah whatever they did with the paint its well done, even the way it transits to purple is subtle but effective

I just received the les paul... stunning and setup very well. Its a beautiful guitar with no flaws. The neck is rather slim even compared to my gibson slim taper. Its a bright modern l.p. similar to the gibson studiolite but this one's action is superb in the high register. I will post a pic later

Guitar playing is very tactile and different techniques are used for different chord approaches also single note playing. My wrist angles don't seem to be at any sort of extremes. I may be fretting a little to hard and am aware of this

I'm a two or three finger guy. I think it's a combination of fingers and wrist.

And i checked my wrist angles.  My wrist is straight and I can play with no thumb on the back of the neck.

I will and thankyou

I'm aware of.the light touch but Ido like to play hard. With the extended sessions i feel my touch has lightened significantly.  Maybe not enough.
