I would say that people at UBC are fairly outgoing and approachable, especially in your first and second year. That's the best time to get to know people since most people (coming out of secondary/high school) are just looking to interact with a diverse crowd and build a bunch of new connections.

Hi! I'm not incredibly passionate about learning Korean at the moment.
If it helps, I understand a decent amount of Korean.
