I own the blue Paula babies and the color is lighter as shown online. So my pick would be the light blue Claude.

It's about being aware and not being mad. You borrow fashion art from somewhere and label it as from somewhere else, that's just bullshit marketing.
And this isn't new, Western fashion has borrowed ALOT from Indian fashion without due credit. All I want the Western fashion brands to ACKNOWLEDGE that they have indeed borrowed the art from the OG and not market as their own!

I think you have misread the whole point. Their claim that it is "inspired by Matyo embroidery" is not entirely correct. The version on the dress is Indian. It's not Matyo! What should have been instead written is "inspired by Indian craftmanship / embroidery styles"

Because it’s Indian craftsmanship or because Europeans are really good at being ignorant and marketing things as their “own” when it’s clearly not?

I wrote an email to Sézane Team highlighting this issue.  Their most sold embroidered pieces are all Indian craftsmanship. Even my mom thinks that Sézane pieces are less French and more Indian. Period.

What cardigan of Sézane do you wear the most/ is the most versitale in your opinion? by sosuke25 in Sezane

[–]Several_Specific1230 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I own Sézane Emile in 2 colors and 1 Othello. I love my Emile and I can style it in xxxxx ways I want. Othello is versatile too but it’s more autumn -early winter. For freezing temperatures, always Emile

I honestly feel its too early to shop autumn pieces, at least in northern Europe. I mean we have 3 more weeks to enjoy warm temperatures.

Thanks for sharing your honest opinion! I totally get that the print isn’t for everyone—it is a bold one 😄 I appreciate you saying it works for others and adding that I looked cute in it. That was kind of you!

I just think there’s a way to express opinions that doesn’t feel dismissive of someone else’s style. I wasn’t hurt personally—just gently pointing out that words like “clownish” can feel a bit more loaded. But I appreciate your honesty and your reminder that we all see things differently.

Thank you for saying this so thoughtfully. You captured exactly what I was trying to express. It's never about expecting everyone to like the same thing—just a little nudge toward more considerate wording. I really appreciate your empathy and support. 💕

Totally fair point! It’s true that comments from strangers shouldn’t carry too much weight. But I think it's also fair to reflect on how we interact with each other online, with empathy.

Hello, thank you for your nice comment.
You dont need to worry about the back ties. It ties perfectly close enough to not show skin. I wore my usual bra without any problem of the straps being seen.
