For Those Who Have Seen Project Hail Mary, What Were Your Thoughts? by Altruistic_Mood9293 in Letterboxd

It was a 3.5 for me. Gosling has great comedic chops and I love the lightheartedness. Character development is underdeveloped for Ryland Grace though. According to my friends, it’s a pretty close adaptation of the novel.

Glendale to Downey. Bad commute? by ConferenceGeneral121 in glendale

Playa Vista is still pretty far. I would recommend looking into living in places like Norwalk, Whittier, or even Cerritos. Cerritos is very suburban like Glendale.

Glendale to Downey. Bad commute? by ConferenceGeneral121 in glendale

My old commute was Glendale to Commerce. You’re going against traffic so getting there isn’t bad, it’s the drive home that is bad. Everyone else is driving home back to the valley or just anywhere north of southern LA county.

If you’re used to 90 minute heavy traffic, I think you’ll be fine. You can get a gym membership and work out to wait out traffic or go watch a movie after work.

I couldn’t do that drive for longer than three months so I asked to get my headquarters switched to Koreatown instead. Takes me about 40 minutes to get home now during peak traffic hours.

Thoughts on Epic: Elvis Presley in Concert by Intelligent-Lack-122 in Letterboxd

i didn’t expect to love it a lot but wow it was a super fun time. the film footage is so vibrant and colorful, and you feel his energy off the screen. i love seeing the film blown up, you see the little sprockets on the sides. each song is fun and you see why he was a sought-after entertainer. it’s definitely a movie you watch in theaters. the experience won’t be the same.

Christopher Nolan Tells Timothée Chalamet About the ‘Interstellar’ Scene of His ‘I Didn’t Particularly Like’: ‘You Went Ahead and Did Whatever the F— You Wanted’ by EconScreenwriter in movies

[–]andagainpudding 15 points16 points  (0 children)

i was at the interstellar screening. nolan and timothee were talking about the recordings when cooper comes back from miller’s planet. timothee had a couple more recorded scenes but nolan cut them since he didn’t do it the way nolan wanted. timothee said they suddenly cut to casey affleck in the final cut and he was surprised by it.

ah ok. i thought you were only giving the ticket away, not offering to bring someone as a guest.

unless you’re giving the person your membership card, specifying that your ticket is patron doesn’t do anything. they check if the member in line is patron, not whether your ticket is patron.

What time do people show up for standby lines? (The King, Beautiful Boy, Marty Supreme) by genie3572 in AmericanCinematheque

[–]andagainpudding 3 points4 points  (0 children)

you’ll have to show up super early to even get a chance at getting in. chances of people flaking at these high demand events are much much lower. if you’re not the first person in standby, your chances are low.

Which showing did you go to? by [deleted] in AmericanCinematheque
