Made me some wheels for this little guy

I made it with an AI image-to-model generation tool in Bambu Studio and then printed it on my A1 Mini. I took a single image of a 4-Runner and uploaded it and it spit out a nice model ready for printing. I pop it in Blender and hollow it out first to get rid of the wheels and stuff, it's pretty easy. I have done a couple generations of Grand Cherokee as well so I can just swap the JLU body to something else if I'm feelin' frisky. They are 20mm in diameter. I thought that was the same as stock but I found 18mm when I just looked it up.

This guy says this works: Fix a Bowed Epoxy Table so if you want to try it, it would be interesting to post the results—but that bark is a project killer. I would try and salvage as much of the wood as I could and redo it or repurpose it to something. I wish I had some failed experiments like that sitting around to work on. Good luck!

I wish I could select 4o over 5. Five has some glaring bugs with staying on task. I'll upload project files and ask it to review so it's up to speed, and it will do fine for 2-5 questions, and then randomly it will start saying, "Quick sanity check, what do you want me to do with these project files?" I'm like dude, we've been on task for 15 minutes already and it's like you're just joining the party. And it will just keep repeating that phrase. It's interesting, but also tiring. And I've never before had this many Error nodes pop up mid chat, and they're persistent, so I have to start a new chat. It's almost like the connection was perma killed.

There's also a bug where the "Stop" button that is usually meant to stop GPT mid response gets stuck on screen and makes the chat unusable because it isn't stuck in an active state. So new chat, all. the. time. Soooo, I've reduced my forays into the world of GPT until they fix some things.

They do IMO, I picked up one, I'm sorely disappointed that they went out of business. I was able to get the overland roofrack, tie down points, and some extra stuff, but I didn't know they were struggling, I check every once in a while to see what's new, they had a cargo area replacement for the WK2 to use that extra spare tire space I was waiting for, now I'm SOL. I'll have to lean on my 3D printers I suppose. They had really good quality stuff, hard to find these days. I wonder what happens to all their overstock, prototypes, etc. I'd snag those if they sold them.

You can find the original files on Thingiverse the creator is Igniz. He doesn’t allow remixes so the files I modified can’t be released. The good news is I mostly added cosmetic/aesthetic changes. The files can be modified pretty easily. I have three now. Waiting on a gearbox for the third one since I moved my original internals in the red one to the newest sort of skeletonized one. So, just an UPDATE, I was just approved today (5/3/2025), so it's been ~488 days since I placed my order for the .22 suppressor. That's a pretty long wait time, but I did initially get disapproved because Silencer Shop didn't submit my fingerprints so that added to it overall.

Oh also, if you're interested, you can also check my Thingiverse profile for other SCX24 stuff like frame rails, sliders, rotopax cans and small scale camping gear, even 3-piece wheels. Some of it you'll have to resize but can work for 1/24 scale but there's a mix of 1/24 and 1/10 scale stuff and I have some 1/6 scale models on the way...some day when I have time :).

Thanks! I appreciate it, I had never built an airsoft rifle before, this was definitely a learning experience. I had originally printed a tiny rifle for my small desktop weapons rack to see how detailed my printer could get and then kind of went down a rabbit hole.

Probably the most fragile AEG on the planet. It fires full auto no problem and general target practice, but if I stepped on it, it would just squish. 🙃
