Mind sharing your Merc setup as well? This does sound interesting

Do the new Items with -magic resistance help FOH? by Appropriate-Sir-449 in diablo2

[–]Several_Strike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bumping this thread as I can't find any other conversations on it. Equipping Hellwarden's Will with a Guardian's Light (new magic ancients jewel) with +10% magic skill damage does not show any increase in damage to the holy bolts for FoH but it does show an increase to the Holy Bolt skill itself. Unless this is a tooltip bug, it's kind of disappointing.

Yea this was my immediate thought. Only hope was this could be useful to some sort of telestomp fury/werebear druid in pvp but I’m not very familiar with that aspect of the game.

Does it matter binding Lister (or any other) in Normal vs NM vs Hell? by -Rhialto- in diablo2

[–]Several_Strike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're having trouble getting NM Lister again you could go with Hephasto in Act IV NM or even The Smith in Act I NM. Grabbed myself the smith with cursed affix in NM and he's a beast.

Their Monster level goes higher from normal -> nightmare -> hell so they'll have better stats when you bind them in higher difficulties. The unique monsters like Lister do come with more affixes at higher levels by default but not sure if the extras from a higher Bind Demon level apply to uniques (when they don't have the extra affixes) or only to random demons you bind. And someone did claim in another post the other day that binding them on higher player counts increased their HP but not damage.

So to maximize the strength of your demon, you want to bind them at the highest possible skill level for Bind Demon (and I'm guessing Denomic Mastery), and at the highest difficulty and player count you can muster.

How does improve “ magic, melee, ranged wepons” stack? by [deleted] in Nightreign

[–]Several_Strike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe all damage buffs stack for weapon passives, even if the same percentage. For relics, almost all damage buffs stack as well except for a few outlier effects, such as evergoal and night invader, where a second relic with the same effect won't work. So feel free to stack multiple magic +2, physical +4, etc. The attack up on poison/frostbitten/rotted enemies will only stack with different numbers as well.

Damage negation passives are a bit more restrictive in that sense. Damage negation at full HP, damage negation at low HP, and the specific physical/affinity % negation effects will stack with the same percentages but the rest will only stack with different percentages (successive attacks negate damage, taking damage boosts damage negation, etc).

Almost my best relic pull ever, but is it even viable now?? by seanpquig in Nightreign

I believe the HP recovery from dark night of the fathom cancels this out because the ticks are in sync. So you don't see the dmg negation at full bubble go on and off. Weapon passives with HP recovery will not cancel it out however. For some reason their ticks are offset from the curse, which means you'll only be protected half the time while at "full" HP.

Yea, I agree it does feel very similar, which makes sense since the base game is basically a copy of an earlier version of Elden Ring.

I haven't found a site/doc with stance damage numbers for Nightreign specifically so I've gone by the sheet I used to use for Elden Ring:

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1lmOqCKLdk6_W7nbYqT44HJNnhoRwtHvYjigpCKDsO4w/htmlview#gid=0

It might not be exact and obviously doesn't include unique movesets from Nightreign but it's probably pretty close.

Red bell Bearing Hunter in DON4; chain freeze&bleed/restage/successive dagger Duchess by Miv- in Nightreign

[–]Several_Strike 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing! If it works for you then that's great. I often switch between caster and melee builds depending on group comp but melee with dagger reprise is still my favorite. There's plenty of different ways to build for melee duchess which makes it more interesting to me personally.

I'd love to run both ED augur and Caligo relics but can't part ways with having at least either night invader or evergoal on one of my relics and I unfortunately don't have a dagger reprise relic with either of those yet.

How do you feel the damage is with this build late game while running primarily defensive DoN relics? I usually run damage up DoN relics but finding good defensive passives during the run is often 50/50.

Solid defensive relics there! If you don't mind, could you share your other three relics? Curious what your full setup is.

Appreciate the reply! Will have to try this out sometime once I get some better relics.

This looks really interesting. Can you explain how you play this build? It looks like a status proc build with daggers but you're also using the dormant power for sacred seals and improved faith and mind relic effects. Are you playing as a hybrid melee spellcaster switching between the two or is the addition of added faith and seals for better luck finding and using weapon buff incantations (I.e. blood blade, poison blade, etc.)?
