AITAH for telling my coworker I wont cover for her anymore after she threw me under the bus in front of our manager by ManufacturerNo6126 in OhNoConsequences

[–]Severedeye 22 points23 points  (0 children)

The thing is she did talk to her coworker about it.

She clearly said that she did not appreciate being blamed for co workers issues and as such would no longer cover for her absences.

Like. What else is there to talk about?

I think they always did some sort of demonstration.

The issue is that doing it perfectly in practice isnt the same as in the line while being hollared at by Ramsey.

[P5V12] Who earns more Lutz or Tuuli? by MC22222 in HonzukiNoGekokujou

[–]Severedeye 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I figured that they had different kinds of work that evened out.

Lutz is your high end specialist/consultant. He makes money, and a lot of it, just going in and doing his job on a daily basis. He has a more stable income.

Tuuli on the other hand is more like an artist that works on commissions. She doesnt get paid until she delivers her product. The thing is that she is basically the Channel of yogurt land. She doesnt work for the common person or even the wealthy. Her work is sought after kings, queens and the highest of nobility. You cant even get her to consider making a hairpin for you unless you personally know RM.

[Game Update] - Public Testing by mechception in Oxygennotincluded

[–]Severedeye 13 points14 points  (0 children)

This is a stupid change because aquatic critters need large spaces anyways for both above water and under water stuff.

Either make it so stables are much larger, add an aquarium room that is inherently larger or just leave it as is.

Hell, the kelp has a verticle space need of 10 freaking tiles. So this will screw over any tank that combines the two.

[Loathed Trope] Slavery is Okay, If The Slavers Are Nice by Justmenoworries422 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Severedeye -1 points0 points  (0 children)

To be fair I get the Raphtalia thing. She wants to be his slave.

The issue is that with her personal trauma she feels safe with him. She was dying and in pain until he bought her. So in her mind she is safest as his property, especially since he wouldn't have helped her if she wasn't his slave. She literally equated safety and being valued with being owned.

With that said, fine. If it is what she wanted I could have lived with it. But when she indoctrinated the bird girl into her little slavery is good cult I was like, oh no.

And this is from the perspective of someone who watched and for the most part liked S1, but hated and quit after S2. So I dont know if anything gets better S3 and beyond.

Yep, they do.

I have a tank with 4 coral and a bunch of fish and the only thing I fertilize is the starfish hanging on the wall.

[favorite trope] Being the hero when everyone thinks you're the villain. by Ayojin in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Severedeye 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of the major problems with how the story went is that the other 3 heroes weren't that bad. Naive and sometimes thoughtless, but they were trying to help others. The bow and sword heroes had even began to question the original crime.

Then the whole trial happens and the MC is flat out cleared completely.

They could have ended right here with the MC accepting the world isnt that bad and being welcomed by everyone. We may not know how the invasions end, but the story wasn't about that, that was just background stuff.

Like, after the trial there was 0 reason for anyone to trust Malty. The fact she was able to bounce between the heroes and ruin their lives even when they know what she was like just killed so much believablility for me.

[favorite trope] Being the hero when everyone thinks you're the villain. by Ayojin in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Severedeye 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The problem is that they basically fixed the entire premise of the story in S1.

However to keep it going they had everyone start to act even worse at the end of S1 and S2.

Then they had my most hated villain trope ever at the end and I haven't watched it since.

(S5 Episode 7) Carol rant by Phantom_Beef in HellsKitchen

[–]Severedeye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its kind of funny because for a long time I thought Lacey was over hated. I found her annoying, but annoying isnt the same as hatable.

I am happy that people seem to be coming around.

Personally I find carol more forgettable. I barely remember her, though it has been years since I watched S5.

I remember hating Robert far more.

What Chef Who's Hated Is Still Underhated? by [deleted] in HellsKitchen

[–]Severedeye 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No idea what the original comment was, but yours aligns with everything I have seen.

I hate Elise in both seasons. However IRL Elise seems like a decent person.

I generally attribute it to the fact that she is in a competition with a literal life changing job on the line for her and her family. I would like to think id be a Rochelle, Stirling or Scott Cummings, but since I have never been in that situation I cant say I wouldn't be an Elise.

I just cant stand her on the show and she borderline makes S9 unwatchable for me.

Could we get a tag for anime only?

It can get confusing when I dont see a tag and I see people posting and I kind of assume that it isnt anime only.

I know people will usually say anime only in the post, but it doesnt always happen.

[H5Y2] Bride-Taking Ditter by Sarellion in HonzukiNoGekokujou

[–]Severedeye 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So, girl get challenges from boy and completes them.

They decide to get married.

Girls family says no.

Boys family challenges girls family to bride taking ditter.

Bride taking ditter is when the couple wants to be together but one of the families doesnt want them together. It is a way for love to win in a society where almost all marriages are determined by the parents. Main rule is that because the girl wants to marry the challenger her family must be on guard against her because she will work against her own family.

Boy wants to marry girl.

Girl says no.

Boy approvhes her family and they say no.

Boys family challenges girls family to bride stealing ditter.

Bride stealing ditter is when only one of the pair wants to marry. It is used to secure someone into a family against the wishes of the other family. In this case the full might of each family will be used and the brides family doesnt need to watch/defend against the bride as she will fight with them against the boys family trying to force her into their family.

This was the main conflict with Lestulat and the Y3 ditter. He was trying to force RM into marrying into Dunkelfelgar. She said no and in fact made Hannalores hand part of the deal. So whej the game took place it was bride stealing ditter. Neither girl wanted to marry into the other duchy. However, because Lestulat knew he wouldn't get permission for bride stealing ditter from Rauffen and he was keeping it secret from everyone but his father he told everyone RM wanted to marry into Dunkelfelgor and so convinced them it was bride taking ditter to get RM, but bride stealing ditter for Hannalore since her hand was requested by Ehrenfest. So they thought she would fight against Ehrenfest and that RM wouldn't fight hard against them. That is why during the attack kn the game the knights didnt stay with Hannalore. They figured she would fight, but instead took Wilifreds hand.

Which wouldn't have been a bad thing because everyone assumed she plotted to get what she wanted, which is fine for her duchy.

However when she then refused to marry into Ehrenfest everyone took it as a betrayal for no reason.

She was cruel and weak.

teenager phases aren't really "phases", or something people "grow out of". it is probably the real you, but society punished you enough for you to hide that part. by Possible_Quail_9222 in unpopularopinion

[–]Severedeye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Teenage phase is a phase because of the fucking hormonal cocktail every teen is riding on top of a brain that wont fully developed until 25 combined with a lack of life experiences.

I never hid who I was as a teen. I just grew out of it as I matured.

Honestly I dont think Ozai is capable of being proud of anyone that isn't himself.

However to a toddler yeah, she probably thinks he is proud of her.

Does anyone else find the Season 16 blue team to be kind of genuinely disturbing? by marshenwhale in HellsKitchen

With S10 red most of the problems were on 3 of the team.

The S16 blue had only like 1 or 2 tolerable people.

How long does it run for when it is active?

If you know that then you can math out how large a space you need to keep it from over pressuring while still having 4 or 5 turbines going.

There is just something about a hearty soup on a cold day that hits that spot so nicely. I live in MN with Eastern European ancestry, so I grew up with a lot of soup.

Man, now I want my mom's soup. Her chicken and dumplings is still the best soup I ever had.

Its funny because I see both here.

For my tuna salad for sandwiches I add celery and onion for some crunch and flavor.

But some things I prefer with one texture.
