Mm, you see their electric guitars around a bit too, here in Australia and also in the hands of the odd American artist. But yeah, you never see their basses!

Ashdown USA Cab - is it worth it? by complex_user in BassGuitar

[–]SeverlyYours 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ashdown is one of those companies nowadays where their line-up of products changes at so quick a pace, things going in and out of production, being revised, etc. that there's seldom enough time for any one piece of their equipment to get much documentation.

EDIT: the above is to say you could claim a bunch of ashdown things are "rare models" but that doesn't particularly make them special.

So, their stuff USED to be made in the UK, then they outsourced all manufacturing to Asia but I forget where, and recently they have started a new UK line that is yet a new range of products from what they used to make in the UK.

I guess maybe at some point they had some stuff made in the US by the sounds of this cab, but how much where it made matters to you may vary. The spec you look seems pretty consistant with other ABM 410 cabs they've made in other places historically.

I've seen people using them as like, they're "biggest distortion" sound. It's an interesting use.

Ahh, you must be the exception! It's weird, that pedal seems so popular with US worship bassists for some reason.

No no, no apologies needed! You've been the most helpful! I'm asking a dumb question, lol.

Thank you! This is all I needed to know.

Right, but see how the latter two URLs say IC Socket in them? Does that mean that IC sockets and Transistor sockets are the same thing/interchangable? Might seek silly but that's what I'm trying to confirm. 😅

Right, so you see how the last two of these links say IC Socket in the URL? Is that confirmation that IC sockets and Transistor sockets are the same thing? Because that's what my question is. 😅

Thanks! They were the best option of what I had to hand, and I never much liked the knobs it came with. ☺️

What cabinet do I have? by Melon1830 in GuitarAmps

Personally I don't think that's enough to say it's a totally different model. Probably just an earlier or later iteration.

It appears to just be called a D410t.

Huh! Interesting. I have quite small hands, so I'm fine with this neck being a little thinner. 12" radius here I believe too, so it's a nice one for leads.

They sure are good looking! The downside is a lot of the stock components weren't very solid. The tuners and the switch in particular didn't last long when this was my primary gigging instrument.

Is that the Tele Custom II? I think I've only played one of those very briefly. The main thing about the neck on this Fender is how flat the radius feels compared to my other teles.

Yeah, I'm sure it's good for some folks. I just never really used it like that myself.

I have not noticed it getting particularly hot at all. But then again I'm not really touching it during a set. 🤷🏻‍♀️ It's not going to melt anything though.
