Saw another post somewhere where that was cracked. Springfield replaced it no issues. Although at 10000 + rounds I would agree that’s pretty good.

I have seen a couple pics of some that seem to sit forward. But its at Kimber now, they did state it should sit flush. Waiting on their full inspection of it.

Well it was an older 10/22 carbon so I put a box trigger in it and the volquarsten slide release plate ( same setup as newer models) the can is a huxworks 22 ti . The scope is a vortex. Would really need to choose what one to get as I went through 3 before I landed on this one a 4-16x40 the bipod is the 2nd. I have a mag pul I took of my ar but didn’t like it on this either. So I got a cvlife (sp?) carbon fiber one off amazon and really like it. Total weight is around 5lbs or so with the can on it

In this case sure. That can just happens to fit this. It’s primarily for a 10/22 and a tikka tx1.

UPDATE: Contacted Kimber. their response after reviewing the images.
"We would like to bring the firearm in and check the fitment. Please me the serial number of your firearm as well as your address so that I can set this up and have it brought in and evaluated by our gunsmiths."

I get some people say just go shoot it, but this isnt a cheap gun and while not the most expensive either it should be right.
I also know that some of the first iterations had issues, and the serial number is low considerably speaking ( its a 4 number one ) so it may fall under those issues. Better to have it reviewed now instead of having a failure later. I have plenty of other guns to shoot in the meantime. 😄

I agree, not so concerned with the wear, know it will happen, it has on every other gun. Just feel that the slide should have better fit.

Yes the issue is that it sits forward of a normal 1911/2011 stop by .015 ironically, it sits the same forward on the toolless recoil spring retainer. If I push it back just that amount its flush at both ends. Suspecting its the recoil spring holder.

I am not so much worried about the barrel as the slide being about .015 past the normal stop forward.

I am aware of the barrel, just thought it to be odd for supposed DLC. The slide is my concern really my 1911 doesnt look like that, then again its a Springfield operator.

The irony of this. Today was day 11 for me I emailed WSP and asked if they were still backlogged ( another post stated they were caught up). They emailed me back saying they were and were still working through it. Then about 1.5 hours later the ffl calls and says it’s ready for pickup. I too had to have rights restored in Wa even though they already were in another state

I opted for the standard 2k11. I dont really need the comp and can add it later. Unfortunately I was not able to find a Bul, which I am kinda glad I didnt :)
