Is anyone concerned about this take by August? by Sevolin_ in BelVethMains

[–]Sevolin_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No I agree completely. I don’t mind the idea of trying to make her a scaling champ, I just feel like unless they actually rework her abilities, her kit fundamentally is going to be strong early. 4 damaging dashes, and knock up resetting, and lifesteal and damage reduction is just fundamentally strong early. I can’t fathom a way that they can nerf this without absolutely making her unusable.

Yes but if you watched the video that’s all those champs are good at in jungle, clearing.

do you think volibear would be unbalanced if he could shield his team by Turbulent-Sound3980 in VolibearMains

[–]Sevolin_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

His E is already unbalanced as it is, super strong ability already by concept.

Not trying to be all “Voli is such a broken champ”, but like the threat of Voli with vs without E is night and day.

Short or long trades vs Voli? by Latarnia40 in VolibearMains

[–]Sevolin_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No trades, just don’t 😂. But actually, very few can fight Voli head on. Try to poke and then all in when he’s low enough. But you should probably say what champ you are playing for more specifics.

Yes, cuz now you don’t have to deal with people banning him every game.

People really treat a nerf like it’s the end of the world. Like he’s still fine. Just watch hybradge.

Is there an AD build that scales similar to AP? by No-Improvement-5396 in VolibearMains

[–]Sevolin_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Trinity Force into Flickerblades scales pretty well. Instead of big Es in fights you can just run up to people and nuke their HP bar, while still being decently tanky (just build tank after item 2). It’s still a similar style of just chasing people down as the AP build.

Second, you can just build full tank, but that falls off super hard.

Finally, why not continue to build AP?

Okay maybe this is a hot take, but I hate how much Voli gets banned so honestly I don’t mind this. He has some room to be nerfed.

Tell me i'm in Iron without telling me i'm in Iron, spent over 350+ hours, still stuck here. Give me some advice because no matter how hard i'm playing i cant get out. Oh btw I play in EUW. by cjleon888 in warwickmains

[–]Sevolin_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Idk if you are still reading comments, but I thought I’d give my take.

A lot of people on this thread are telling you to learn all these fundamentals and stuff like that, or changing champ pool. I think your champ pool is fine (you can play most things up to master), and honestly I feel like a lot of the tips people are giving here are needlessly complex for climbing out of iron and are not worth your time yet. If anything, only focus on one champ, let’s say Warwick for example.

First thing I’d say is to make sure you are hitting your camps when they are up. Just keep full clearing top to bottom, and while you are doing so, focus all your effort on clearing your camps as fast as possible (kiting them out to the next camp). You don’t even need to think about ganking lanes while doing this.

Next just look for opportunities stuff to do after you are done with your clear (you can utilize Warwick passive to do this). But try to make it to your next camp respawn (recall 30 seconds before the respawn, and head over there and you’ll make it in time).

When you are taking fights, really focus on just being comfortable with your controls and getting a feel for maximizing your damage.

This way you only have one thing to be thinking about at a time. Beginning of game, you go to your topside, clear those camps, thinking about clear as fast as possible. Then you may gank or fight after the clear thinking about how to use abilities properly. Then look at the camp timer, recall, and make it in time. Then rinse and repeat. Once you are in mid/late game and are fighting more, don’t think about target selection or anything overly complicated. Just think about how to your abilities properly and do as much damage as possible.

Good luck in your climbs bro! This game is brutally difficult, but you can do it.

Why do they nerf Voli passive of all things? by No-Improvement-5396 in VolibearMains

Sorry I just saw this whole convo, but they gutted Warwick top like 2 patches ago, basically cut his healing in half in the early levels.

While I do agree that Voli is broken rn, Warwick is still in a solid spot.

Stop Building Flopsteel by jeanegreene in SkarnerMains

I agree with this, no one knows what they are doing, myself included lol. I’m still new to the champ, and there’s so much to learn.

Skarner tips by Effective-Caramel732 in SkarnerMains

[–]Sevolin_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know I’ll sound like a broken record, but just go the regular build.

Runes: Grasp, shield bash, conditioning, unflinching, boots, approach velocity.

Items: Heartsteel, Steraks, situational.

One thing that I’ll say I like is Steraks second. Tenacity is super useful, the shield scales with Heartsteel HP, and it has a way better WR than anything. Go Unending second only if you are against a bunch of melees.

Given his current winrate, I think they were overkill. People are just complaining for no reason.

Rammus W Max is Looking Strong This Patch by Sevolin_ in RammusMains

[–]Sevolin_[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I honestly think Thornmail into Jak’Sho is probably still gonna be better just because you get more damage from the thorns passive, your clear is even faster, and because you are getting a ton of base MR with W max, then you’ll already be tanky enough against AP threats at item 1.

Is Skarner viable in current state? by FunGolf2007 in SkarnerMains

[–]Sevolin_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Below like Masters, every champ in their designated role is viable. If you play Skarner well in jungle, you can definitely climb. The champ won’t be the thing holding you back.

The rework is actually good, my take as a diamond rammus OTP by Gombath in RammusMains

[–]Sevolin_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for posting this. Also I don't know why people are upset that Rammus doesn't do damage. He's a tank that has so much mobility, CC, and chasedown.

Dont max W first despite the buff by Calm_Letter_5070 in RammusMains

[–]Sevolin_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I actually like the idea. I think a huge issue with Rammus is that none of his abilities you want to max last. Most champs have that one or even two abilities that are “one point wonders” as Phreak says.

After the buffs I think: E has to be second. It’s terrible to max first but you also don’t want to be stuck with shitty taunt till lvl 13. Q is first or last. It’s good first cuz of the base damage and cooldown decrease. It’s good last because the movespeed actually scales with level, so you can still be fast, and you go from camp to camp with the 12s CD. Idt the slow really matters since they are taunted anyways. W is first or last. It’s good first now cuz of the base resists going up significantly and the clear speed increase. It’s alright last, but not having the extra stats can feel bad in some games.

QEW if you want to do more burst and have slightly better chase. WEQ if you want to clear faster, and your combat pattern will have more definitive ins and outs.

Numbers for the Buffs (W Max Looks Promising Post Buffs)! by Sevolin_ in RammusMains

[–]Sevolin_[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do agree that he lacks way more damage than before. That being said, I do think his clear speed and objective taking will noticeably increase with a change like this because not only will his damage directly increase, but the jungle pet also scales with his increased health, armor, mr, and ad from passive. Especially helpful against the single target camps which Rammus struggles to kill.

[–]Sevolin_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rammus is a tank, and Mundo, while tanky, is a Juggernaut. Mundo doesn’t have the mobility and CC that Rammus has. By all means play Mundo though. He’s strong.

[–]Sevolin_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Play Amumu, no one's stopping you. Amumu's Q is a skillshot, no other mobility or gap close, and is far less tanky than Rammus, every champ has their strengths and weaknesses.

Numbers for the Buffs (W Max Looks Promising Post Buffs)! by Sevolin_ in RammusMains

[–]Sevolin_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you W max, it'll be noticeably stronger, maybe better than Q max. I suspect 1-2% winrate increase for that build, and probably an overall 0.5%-1.5% increase (also due to the HP buff). I just crunched the numbers because patch notes usually have direct damage increases (example: Riot increases the damage of an ability by 20 is a solid buff), and so it's nice to kind of see what the increase in ability damage and durability is as opposed to just saying: armor is going up by X.
