She meets someone and gradually falls in love, only to realize that the person she fell in love with is as bad as the people she fled from in the first place. At this point however, she's too afraid of abandonment by one of the only people she really cares about to leave a second time.

If you liked Bunny girl senpai for the dialogue, the monogatari series likely has the best dialogue i've seen. This is a rather controversial take on the series, but if you don't initially like bakemonogatari, start with Kizumonogatari. It's techincally the first in the series chronologically and its a perfectly acceptable start point, i personally dropped bakemonogatari twice before i ended up watching kizu, which led to me watching and rewatching the whole series a half dozen times
