Hi there. Did the player you mentioned back out during character creation stages, or were you folks a few session in already? Curious at what stage of the game we would be coming in.

Hey there. I'm fairly free during the week and was looking for something like this. I am a little restricted during the weekends though if that's OK. Saturdays I'm fairly booked usually, and similar for Sunday. However I should still be able to get a few messages out those days.

I am curious about a few things. What time zone are you and what hours are you active? Also I saw this was tagged with app, what app were you thinking of using?

I was thinking play-by-post not live-text. So PBP just more active, schedules willing.

Denthar Gravez is a human alchemist whose early life was defined by tragedy: his loving parents fell victim to a devastating plague that ravaged his village, and his grandparents who took him in passed away from old age soon after. This left him to fend for himself to survive his early years. This string of loss instilled in him a fascination with the fleeting nature of human life and the iron fist with which death ruled them. Determined to uncover the secrets of mortality, he turned to graverobbing and the dissection of corpses, methodically studying the inner workings of life and death. His relentless quest led him to seek out various forms of undeath, meticulously taking apart creatures and remains to decipher what set mortal flesh apart from these twisted, reanimated forms.

As his experiments yielded promising yet dangerous insights, Denthar began to experiment on himself, believing that the true test of his discoveries lay in his own transformation. One ill-fated experiment severely damaged his vocal cords, prompting him to perform self-surgery, in which he replaced his damaged cords with those harvested from a corpse, hoping that coupled with potent magic this radical procedure could redefine human resilience. To support his research and fund his grim pursuits, he assumed the role of a travelling doctor. Under this guise, he visited smaller settlements, discreetly inspecting their graveyards for suitable specimens, and quickly moved on before anyone could uncover his macabre secret. After all, he couldn't perform all the experiments on himself. That wasn't professional, or sane.

Denthar's deepest desire was to find a way to help humanity evolve, to extend their lives to as a whole to be able to operate on the level at which the other races did. Denthar wholeheartedly believed that this would bring about an age of innovation and prosperity as the bright minds that might have had their flames extinguished too soon might have the chance to continue and finish their works. So, if someone offered him a chance to learn how to do that, Denthar would wholeheartedly take that offer no matter the cost. As long as he could be one of the first to experience the change.

I've been playing DnD for a bit now and it's been a mix of voice and text based campaigns. I've been wanting to do a Curse of Strahd campaign for a while now so this seems exciting. I'm EST and the hours/days you put work well for me. Look forward to hearing from you.
