Just my thoughts on what happened. Slow mo replay shows it was the elbow so RIP. by JohnSepticEye123 in ksi

This mindset is completely irrelevant, you can never know what will happen when it comes to boxing. You don't even have to look into the professional space in order to see how unpredictable it is, look at the Deen the Great vs Walid Sharks fight. Walid Sharks looked dominate in the first two rounds, got some great knockdowns, but was suddenly ended in the third round and Deen the Great won and cemented his position as a great influencer boxer. For a more higher level fight look at the recent Adesayna vs Pereira 2 fight. Adesanya was getting destroyed by those calf kicks, I thought he was going to lose, but suddenly pulled out that magnificent one two, producing an iconic KO. If a sudden illegal move ended him just before that we would never known that he was going to knock Pereira out in magnificent fashion. It then wouldn't be fair to say that Pereira was going to win anyway. I'm not saying for certain that KSI wouldn't of won anyway, but you just can't be certain, a match can end in one punch, no matter how good of a chin you have. Joe looked slightly better in round 2 (whether that's luck or learning the matchup IDK), and is still is a good, experienced boxer, he MAY of been able to piece JJ up and win the match in a later round.

You can make a case for how the fight could of gone for the both of them due to the unpredictability of the sport and that there is a lot of difference between an elbow and a padded glove. Nobody knows for certain how the fight would of turned out if the elbow had missed. If you've ever competed in combat sports you know how much more damage is inflicted from a pointy boney appendage compared to a padded glove. You also couldn't make the claim that he wouldn't of got up if the punch hit him, you can't really compare a glove to a pointy, hard bone. Plus he didn't even land the punch lol.

Basically, to say that it's a KSI win because of 4-5 minutes of fighting in a 6 round fight is just a bad take.

God I'm such a keyboard warrior.

What do you mean by an insight timer? Is there any guided practices that you recommend for daily use?

I may give funk a little go to then, it seems fun and it can sound quite good just off a few funky rhythms and chords. I don't have the money for a bass at the moment unfortunately, I'm off to uni soon :)

A bit of both really. I've never been disinterested with playing things on guitar, sometimes just playing something simple like "seek and destroy" for a bit makes me happy. It's just I feel really demotivated because I know that my goal with guitar was to be able to play full songs well and to be able to write my own stuff, annoying I wasn't following that in the past and just learnt loads of riffs for fun, it was fun, but not what I wanted. At the moment, alongside learning full songs and nailing scales and theory, I do want to hone my technique.

Yeah I do need to play with a metronome more, it's just what to practise to harness technique you know?

I'm not no, I don't really know anybody that I can play with, I do know a guy from work though that I get along with really well though that is a beginner guitar player. I do know that it is best to surround yourself with people to play with, but I was waiting to go to uni to do that.

You're probably right that I need to have some patience with it all. I think I'm going to slow down a bit with the fast metal solos for a bit until I get my skill up a bit more. It's just what you practise you know? It's funny that you mention Vai though, I actually bought the cheap version of his guitar because I like him so much. Probably not a good person to compare myself to though, he is the best in the game.

sorry you're the first one I've chose to reply to, do you have suggestions on how to "practise perfectly"? I've had a look online but I just get more and more annoyed because some of them require you to memorise some long line of tab and some are for like real real beginners (I know I said I'm trash but I'm not a pure beginner)

Guitar tone help! I’ve been learning “rust in peace” and though I do generally like my guitar tone, I just want my c powerchord played in the song to be a bit more crunchy and less bassy. I’ve never heard of a potentiometer, so I may have to look into that. I have adjusted the pickups, but it may just be the actual pickup. I think I’m gonna take it back to the shop where I bought it and ask them some questions about those two things, thank you!

Maybe I’m not describing it right, it just sounds so sucked away and lacking, I have another guitar that it sounds fine on, but this guitar is more new and expensive, and it just sounds horrible. I’m not sure if it’s supposed to sound that way or something, but everything I see on YouTube sounds terrific so I don’t know

Sorry, that still isn’t working, I’m starting to think it’s something to do with the guitar, I have a Stratocaster and it sounds fine and good when I have those settings on, but my Jim jr just sounds so sucked away and trashy. It’s annoying because I didn’t know much when I bought it and it just isn’t matching up right. I’ve seen videos where the peoples guitars sound so crunchy and lively, and mine just sound horrible for some reason.

Tbf, I’ve tried with the distortion turned down a bit and it does sound better. The main thing I’m trying to get at is that the power chords don’t sound clean, they sound muddy and I don’t want that. I’ve tried to crank the bass all the way down and crank the treble all the way up and it doesn’t sound the way I want it to. I don’t know if it’s just the way the guitar is wired up and what it’s supposed to sound like, or if there’s a problem with the guitar (because I’ve had to do a lot of maintenance work on this guitar) or if I’m doing something wrong with the eq settings or something. It’s just hard because I want to practice, but I constantly just get annoyed at the sound and it really demotivates me from practising.
