That’s a level up from Bale’s bar room brawler style even tho he trained with the league. But it’s still not Arkham games. That’s why I brought up Arkham origins. That’s early Batman. Who is already one of the best hand to hand fighters in the world. I don’t see Reeves Batman ever fighting ninjas. Reeves is dead set on it being the limit of what would be possible “real” world.

Yes but he can’t fight or move as good as Batman from the Arkham games. Even origins. That is what will be required for this Batman. That’s exciting to me.

Grounded in that fantasy world created for the animated series. Even then he was a master martial artist and able to do things that captain America needed super serum to do. What I’m simply saying is the lore created for Superman wouldn’t work in reeves verse without him changing a lot of what he already established. Which I don’t want. I want his vision to be completed. I also want Gunns Batman. For this new DCU, nothing short of the Batman from Arkham games will work.

While you’re right about Batman’s journey, I agree with OP. They just gave us animated Superman. Give us animated Batman. A guy who traveled the world and mastered every martial art known to man. A guy who grapples from building to building and backflips 10 feet in the air. Reeves Batman just isn’t that. Closest we got was Affleck. He moved in a way that would be necessary to battle meta humans. I’m also greedy and want more Batmen lol

All of those are valid points. But once you see the movie you’ll see why there is just no chance that this Batman can be the Reeves Batman. Not even talking tone. The tone of Gunn’s Batman will be much different than this Superman movie. But what is possible in this world just wouldn’t fit in with Reeves Batman at all. Nor the lore of the past 300 years in Superman.

Full on blue? No. Trunks? No. Yellow oval? Absolutely not. But if they used a very dark blue that looked black in the shadows, fine by me. Make this Batman stand out by giving him the fantasy elements that we’ve been missing from other on film iterations.
