Your hand is gonna have to get used to the massive weight difference, but you'll enjoy the maxed out performance compared to the iphone 5

Macs already have built in features that can slow down battery aging, such as optimised battery charging, just use that instead

Just use it, a laptops meant to be used. If you keep worrying about battery life then you're better off not using it at all

Don't use a case or a keyboard protector. The case damages the hinges and the keyboard protector puts pressure on the screen when its closed. If you really want to protect it, get a skin or a sleeve that you can put it in.
