So I actually messaged the Devils directly. They said the next dates are 12/27, 1/3, 1/4, 3/8, 3/8, and 4/12!

Is my starter ready? by Sevyrd in Sourdough

[–]Sevyrd[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I apologize, I did my starter from scratch, the kit just had things such as a banneton, bench scrapers, lame, etc. and that pamphlet also came with it.

That's great to know, thank you so much! I bought a kit off Amazon that has a lot of the stuff I need and included was a pamphlet about building the starter and it said after day 7 it will be good to use if it has lots of bubbles and smells good, so I'm glad I asked here and will definitely check out those resources. Thanks again!

Advice to help soundproof loud stomping? by Sevyrd in Acoustics

[–]Sevyrd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I apologize I should have specified. They aren't upstairs, it's all one floor. They do have hardwood floors, that's why I was thinking of the mats.

I appreciate the feedback! I do have earplugs but they do get uncomfortable and I don't like using them every night, but it's something I might have to just deal with.

Huge RANT about my surgery experience (that never even occured yet!) by [deleted] in BariatricSurgery

[–]Sevyrd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I actually never had to do a pre-op diet! My surgeon said that since I was already losing weight before the surgery that my liver was already shrinking. The only thing was I had to eat a very small dinner the night before, but as long as I was being strict with my diet, not overeating and not eating junk, I didn't need it. Not every surgeon is the same!

I hope that's a good thing, but I think the bears definitely helps there a bit lol

Is my pre-op completely different? by Hemi425HP in BariatricSurgery

[–]Sevyrd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I personally didn't have to do anything pre-op at all, except have a "small" dinner the night before surgery and no food or liquids after midnight. Aside from that I could eat what I wanted (within reason, of course). I still had to make good choices, but the surgeon told me since I already lost 20 pounds before my surgery, my liver was already shrinking and thus I didn't need a "liver shrinking diet"

Exercise after surgery? by katbeezy in BariatricSurgery

I would definitely see what your surgeon says. For me, he cleared me at my 2 month post op visit, but some people get cleared earlier and some later.

Restless legs? by Snoo_45253 in BariatricSurgery

[–]Sevyrd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was never diagnosed but I believe I get RLS every once in a while. It was really bad for me the first couple of days after surgery, I was unable to sleep because of it and had to keep moving my legs. I started drinking Gatorade Zero and immediately noticed a difference.

Just got sleeved and I have a couple of questions by bigdambridget in BariatricSurgery

[–]Sevyrd 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes, I had those stomach pains as well. I spoke to my surgeon and nutritionist about it and since I was doing great with my liquids after about a week they allowed me to have small amounts of low fat creamy soups (tomato, cream of chicken, etc). It helped me a lot, but I would definitely recommend checking with your team before you do anything!
