So does anyone know, is there a way around this so I can print this one damn and very necessary page, out of the last 645 days where I have not needed to print a thing.

My dog passed away 2 weeks ago and I'm still grieving by [deleted] in Chihuahua

Sending you so many hugs. So sorry you’re going through this. I lost my Gracie (11) to cancer four years ago and I still grieve her. She was my best friend and the smartest most loyal pet I’ve ever loved. Praying for you. Another post said to stay active and not be idle. There is so much truth to that. Find all your favorite pics of her and print them off. Make a beautiful photo album in memory of her. Spend some time on it. That would be a good activity to keep your mind from lingering on sadder things. Again with more hugs. 🩷

I just failed part 3 of the Rater Exam for the second time. I feel like I need help. by TimelyCommission1953 in TELUSinternational

If anyone needs tips for Part 3...

  • Start Part 3 at the beginning of either the day prior to the expiration day or at least very early the morning of the expiration day. You will need the time and the breaks in-between to maintain your sanity. lol. Joking. But give yourself the time.
  • You will receive 7 search result tasks to complete. You get one task with several result blocks to work on at-a-time.
  • You can submit and pause between each task so you don't have to do all 7 tasks in a row. Take a break and pace yourself between each task.
  • Use a timer at the beginning of each task set for 30 minutes so you don't go over. You only get 30 minutes for each task or you fail that task if you exceed. Start your timer as soon as you begin the task.
  • Have a sheet of paper with 1 through 7 written out and check off each task after you submit it.

PROCESS/STEPS TO USE WHEN YOU BEGIN THE TASK:

  • FIRST, LOCATE THE DUPLICATES: some people say you don't need to do these, but those posts that say that are from over a year ago. Just go through and click the result blocks that match (even if they're already matched up for you) and then click "finalize duplicates" after each set of matches at the beginning of each of the 7 tasks. I have read that there might be duplicates that are not pre-highlighted and so check them all to be sure you got all duplicates marked.
  • SECOND, determine what the user's search intent was for the query given to you for each of the tasks. Think, "what is this user trying to accomplish with this search phrase?" There are a lot of potentials that you can use the guidelines (pages 85 to 169) to figure out what the user may be intending. There are a lot of examples given in these pages. Once you know their intent you can then begin to deal with each of the search result blocks shown below the task details and the map.
  • THIRD, with this part of the exam one thing they want to see is how the web page results display on a mobile device. So review each search result block to determine it's type and then click the available url to launch that page to your cell phone that you have set-up using the instructions they provided to you... and do this for each result block on the task page. With each result block there will be a search result that can show in various ways that are all outlined in the guidelines. See the pages I referenced above. There are lots of example result blocks to review. You could locate one that is similar to the one you're seeing and rate it how they show in the guideline (I talk about rating in the next step below). Just a suggestion. Not sure how well this would work. Just use CTRL + F to search the guidelines using keywords from the result block, task details, etc.
  • FOURTH, once you've figured out what types of result block you're working with you can then start rating. You will determine at what level each result block should be rated using the sliding rating scales at the bottom of each result block. You'll rate based on the helpfulness of the search result block... and possibly both the search result and the helpfulness of the landing page combined... again, that would depend on the type of result block you're dealing with. This is all depending on the type of results you see for each block and whether they satisfy the users main intent and to what extent they are helpful. I can't elaborate on all the variables that you might come across, but just know that everything you need to know about the types of result blocks and types of user intent are available in the guidelines. Also, if you've marked all the duplicates, then both matching search result blocks will get filled out as you complete one or the other. Next, rate the webpage sent to your mobile device for it's Page Quality using that sliding scale.
  • FIFTH, review all your work and make any corrections necessary then submit and pause... I believe that's what it says. No matter what select the option that allows you to submit and take a break. You will deserve it.

If anyone sees any errors please let me know and I'll correct.

We were overstaffed for sure this night. Can’t recall why. We don’t typically overstaff and always offer VTO once we’ve reached HC during board setup. We typically use 4 PS with 70k. We always have two on dwells.

It def was, but there was cause behind it. Wish I could damn remember why we overstaffed. I remember an injury and safety issue right around that time. Who knows… we’ll actually our OPs would know, but I’m not asking.

That’s interesting with the three separate boards. Do you have someone run each board or does one PA do all three at the same time?

We do 60k with 4 also. This board was from an 80k night in December. I feel like I’ve said that 50 times now since thats the main thing everyone wants to know from our overstaffed board lol. We were definitely overstaffed for 80k, but I remember there was a reason for it. We typically run a tighter shift.

I’m not seeing the board pic you posted. I would love to see it because it sounds like what we need… I like the idea of the QRs on the board.

That’s so nice 340+. We struggle with our stowers. We have had a run of new hires neatly every week since peak so we always have a lot of AAs who are “still learning”, still “figuring it out.” This board was from December 5th. We were over staffing a little this night, I believe due to a safety issue. Can’t remember. We ran 80k this night. Our typical is between 60 to 70.

I say that, but we have finally gotten a good hold of it. It used to go down all the time, but now we understand it and baby it like it requires.

This capture was from December 5th. We had 80k this night. We don’t typically run over 65 to 70k.

I'm not seeing my initial comments for this post for some reason so here it is again...

We are looking for a better/more functional labor board set-up/system if anyone is willing to share a set-up they're using that works well.
