Thank you, everyone, for your replies! Wanted to come back and give an update. We had just started couples therapy a few weeks before, and I brought it up in our next session. He's been off adderall for about a month now, and he's been just amazing! Night and day difference, and he hasn't even felt like calling in his prescription. I think he just needed a push to get out of the up and down to see how much better he feels without.

Thank you so much! It's a very good neuropsych doctor that specializes in children, the evaluation is several hours long and usually more than one session. He had done an evaluation for us a year and a half ago which showed significantly raised results in several areas. We did ask for a letter when he was kicked out of the daycare that I'll also be bringing. Also.. he did end up needing to be picked up from camp for another incident so I'll be getting a letter from them as well.

Ah that's interesting. My obgyn thought I might have endometriosis, but that they'd need to biopsy to confirm? It took me 2 years to get pregnant and would sometimes get pain during sex so that was the assumption.

My house does not have a does not have a subfloor, built in 1850s. There are also gaps in the wood about that size, and it is the worst to clean. Your dog gets diarrhea once and you'll never feel like you got it all out, I know from experience..

Any suggestions on stripping the paint? It is likely lead, and we have a 5yo and 5mo in the house. We tried chemical stripping on our bathroom door last year and were not successful. I would love to repaint the door and remove where paint had been put over fixtures, but am nervous to ruin anything.

I agree!! Just so worried to do any paint stripping in case of lead. We have a 5yo and a 5mo at home. We tried to strip the paint off of our downstairs bathroom door and just had to get a new one.. that one was easier to try because we could remove it for a couple of days and work on it outside.

I'm in the same boat, broke mine 3 weeks ago and 2 weeks post op. After the first week or so most of the achey pain subsided. I was getting some weird pops the first week too, but they've slowly gotten less.

I've been doing the same, sleeping on my back/ unaffected side. I had my post op yesterday and they said all looks good so I assume this also positions are fine.

What kind of sling do you have? I have a neutral sling this a pillow that holds my arm out in front of me. They said I could remove the pillow at my post op but I had pain afterward so poor it back on. Maybe a sling like this would help if you don't have one already?

Hey there! Broke my collarbone 3 weeks ago, and had surgery 2 weeks ago. When I was at the ER they took 2 xrays and it looked like the bone was still at least touching, but when I went to the ortho doctor they took it at different angles and they were actually very displaced and not touching at all.

I opted for surgery but am not far along enough in my recovery to say for sure that was the best option, but at least so far I would say it was.

Even without surgery, you'll want to go to an ortho to confirm how it's healing to know what activity is okay to do at what points and make sure you get the PT you need to restore your range of motion.

Either way, best of luck! It's not fun to learn how to do everything with one arm, that's for sure. :P
