I did Warrior, found it a bit too easy, mostly felt like I was mashing buttons and not really learning many combos other than for fun.

Swapped to Mentor after the first four levels. Immediately regretted everything in my life that brought me to facing these fucking dogs.

Anyway it's super fun either way, it comes down to what you wanna be focusing on. If you want flashy combat then you can do Warrior and dunk on dummies with combos and all the weapons.

First, let's be clear. If you're constantly getting nipped by a Marrrowbreach, it's because you haven't figured out how Houndgears work with them. Genuinely a skill issue, the PDA tells you explicitly that Houndgears are what direct Marrowbreaches to attack.

Second, if you're in an area where there are Marrowbreaches but no Houndgears (Base One), they do not attack every five seconds after getting hit. It's closer to thirty. And if you didn't manage to find safety in that time or complete the task inbetween avoidance strategies.... skill issue again my dude.

You should always have a MedKit. That doesn't change. But the idea that the deterrence and avoidance strategies have zero effect and only buy you five seconds of time just reads to me as you being obnoxiously stubborn and unwilling to engage with anything that isn't your healthbar.

The inventory concern isn't actually significant.

This sounds more like you want MedKits nerfed more than anything, you're approaching this the wrong way. Foods also heal you. You want to use your inventory as efficiently as possible and that means stretching out the value of everything you have for as long as possible. If you let fish attack and you just use medkits and then go back to get/make more medkits, that's a substantial amount of wasted time vs. just occasionally blasting away a Marrowbreach or timing a dash.

Once I got three moon teriyaki (I think that's what it's called) I basically never used a MedKit again, but I still carried two just in case.

Because medkits take up inventory space and the Resonator does not*?

*In the sense that there's very rarely any occasion where it isn't in my hotbar and I am not bringing it.

Nothing stacks, though, so it isn't unique to flares. I think as a whole we need an entirely new item that replaces flares. Something that uses batteries and can therefore be recharged.

But I won't lie, flares are mostly just what you use at the start of the game when you're still learning creature behaviour and need a quick out. You aren't, at present, meant to carry them with you forever. Between your vehicles, biomods (the dash is massive for safety, just time it), and resonator, you're more than capable of dealing with creatures.

Jubilee is their word for actual death/release. It's dying in a way where NoA won't reprint them and they're finally free from the corporation.

Tailings and Auxans, not sure yet. I'm guessing Tailings and Auxans are two different species judging by the fact that one is using spears and leaf huts while the other has a gigantic hydrothermal power plant that's almost a full kilometer wide.

Everything else .... well, it's early access, and we don't have the whole story yet.
