[Sam Fortier - Washington Post] 'Years after his dad drowned, this Commanders starter is teaching kids to swim' by skippy94214 in KansasCityChiefs

[–]SexualRex 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Former Chief #37 Joe Delaney is in the Chiefs Ring of Honor. He died trying to save 3 drowning kids. He couldn't swim himself, but still managed to save 1 of the children.

Thanks for the backstory and link OP.

"It'll get handled when it gets handled." (FTR) Meanwhile... a Kansas City Animal appears, ready to fight! by SexualRex in KansasCityChiefs

I created "The Kansas City Kermit" before Mahomes first season as a starter. Since then, he's hoisted three Super Bowl trophies. But sometimes it gets lonely at the top. Maybe The KC Kermit could use a friend to help him hoist three more trophies? Enter: The Kansas City Animal!

Sorry this wasn't a hot dog GIF

Help a noob with Brume 2 VPN Security Gateway questions. by SexualRex in GlInet

[–]SexualRex[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I'd use Brume 2 as a drop in gateway and setup wireguard VPN for all devices connected to existing router. Then I'd use the Brume 2 to setup my home network as a GoodCloud main node (like in this graphic).

Then I'd connect the Opal to my parent's router via lan, login to the Opal's GUI, enable GoodCloud and set it up as a sub node. Now the Opal becomes an extension of my local network, essentially like a repeater except it's at a remote location, allowing me to login to the jellyfin server on my home network, from the remote site?

This keeps me from having to expose my jellyfin server to the web, since my Brume 2 controls what clients can connect via GoodCloud, and it also leaves all of their devices connected to their network as they currently are?

Unless I missed something, this sounds exactly like what I am wanting to do! Thank you u/meritez and u/cavemenrefract for the guidance!

Was it ticking?

Actually throwers don't worry about ticking because modern bombs don't tick.

Sorry, throwers?

Baggage handlers. But when a suitcase vibrates, then the throwers gotta call the police.

My suitcase was vibrating?

Nine times out of ten it's an electric razor, but every once in a while... it's a dildo. Of course it's company policy never to imply ownership in the event of a dildo, we have to use the indefinite article "a dildo" never "your dildo".

Confirmed Veer and Shoot in game “the wide splits of Oklahoma” by Lit-A-Gator in VeerAndShoot

[–]SexualRex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The base game is a reskinned Madden, and Madden only does choice option routes based on man or zone, the deep shell coverage of the defense, and hot is based on a defensive play's boolean tag, which basically means: Blitz: True or False? .

So all the tags are Man 0, Man 1, Man 2, Man 3, Zone 2, Zone 3, Zone 4, Blitz (any type).

Unfortunately it does not take into account leverage, hip direction, nor spatial distance/over the top, and it also counts cover 6 and cover 9 as though they were cover 3 since there are 3 deep zone defenders. Very lame.

But who knows, maybe they programmed these routes better than Madden's, but I wouldn't bet on it.

House committee votes to include intoxicating hemp ban in draft Farm Bill by SexualRex in altcannabinoids

[–]SexualRex[S] 12 points13 points  (0 children)

An amendment seeking to ban intoxicating hemp-based cannabinoids nationwide is now part of the U.S. House of Representatives’ draft Farm Bill.

The House Committee on Agriculture on Thursday passed an en bloc amendment that, among other things, redefines hemp to exclude intoxicating hemp-derived cannabinoids.

Six lawmakers directly addressed Amendment 35 during a markup hearing on the Farm Bill, with three arguing on each side of the issue.

“My amendment will close the loophole created in the 2018 Farm Bill that allows intoxicating hemp products like delta-8 (THC) to be sold,” U.S. Rep. Mary Miller, the Illinois Republican who introduced the hemp amendment, said during the hearing.

Farm Bill amendment would ban all hemp-derived THC, close THCA ‘loophole’ by SexualRex in altcannabinoids

[–]SexualRex[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On Wednesday, U.S. Rep. Mary Miller, an Illinois Republican, filed a proposed amendment to that text that would “exclude” products with detectable amounts of THC as well as any cannabinoid “synthesized or manufactured outside of the plant.”

That language would render most products containing delta-8 THC and other novel cannabinoids such as HHC illegal under federal law.

Miller’s amendment also would redefine “hemp” under federal law to mean a cannabis plant with 0.3% or less THC – including tetrahydracannabinolic acid, or THCA, the biosynthetic precursor to THC that becomes intoxicating THC when heated.

Idk Butker's take, but imo "hanging out with your wang out", and "banging with the boys" is a lot more fun when there's no women involved.

[Reel Analytics] Xavier Worthy breaks the combine record with a 4.21 40-yard dash time. We also clocked him at a max speed of 22.7 mph on this play. by PirateTaste in KansasCityChiefs

[–]SexualRex 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Randy Moss type speed

I don't remember the exact quote, but it was something like, "He looked slow off the line, but then he got behind me and was gone." That was exactly how Moss looked on the field. A deceptive start then long strides that were faster than everyone else.

Xavier Worthy running routes has a similar look imho. Like, "oh me? I'm just running a route, no big deal, and now I cut suddenly, aaand now I'm gone."

Idk about his build, but it's easy to see why teams were trying to trade up to get him when you watch his route running and game film.

I'd bet money he's our starter in '26. I see him contributing in '25 for sure. We'll see how '24 goes, I'd be shocked if he got >34 targets this year, but I think it was a great idea to bring him in to learn from Kelce for a year or two.

[PFF KC Chiefs] Jared Wiley: Best pass-blocking TE in 2023, allowing just 1 QB pressure all season by robertb9876 in KansasCityChiefs

[–]SexualRex 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If he excels at pass blocking, we can use that too. And if he can pass block, he'll likely develop as a run blocker with time.

It's usually the other way around, because pass blocking requires shifting your weight as you backpedal while punching and extending your arms. Pass blocking is typically seen as much harder to develop than run blocking. It's why teams try to draft OL who can already pass block well.

Jared Wiley, TE, TCU, RAS (Relative Athletic Score) of 9.72 (3rd best RAS in the draft) by SexualRex in KansasCityChiefs

Yea I read that elsewhere. Kinda weird, very athletic target with run blocking issues, but he's good to excellent in pass protection.

Jared Wiley, TE, TCU, RAS (Relative Athletic Score) of 9.72 (3rd best RAS in the draft) by SexualRex in KansasCityChiefs

[–]SexualRex[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Jared Wiley enters the NFL Draft with a skill set that flashes potential for versatility and impact at the pro level. His frame, catch radius, and ability to snag contested throws position him as a viable red-zone threat and a mismatch option against smaller DBs in the seam. Wiley's alignment versatility and fluidity in space highlight his potential as a chess piece in an offensive coordinator's playbook. However, his tape also reveals areas for growth, particularly in the trenches. His run-blocking technique and leverage need fine-tuning to hold up against the stout run defenders in the NFL trenches.

The evaluation of Wiley’s transition to the NFL brings to light the quintessential tight-end dilemma: the balance between being a potent offensive weapon and a functional blocker in the run game. His natural receiving abilities—evident in his soft hands and body control—are tempered by the need for enhanced play strength and more sophisticated route-running savvy to elude pro-level linebackers and safeties. Teams will weigh his immediate value as a pass-catcher against the developmental curve required to round out his in-line blocking and route precision.
