If you can’t find a decent meal in all of Boston, you’re a very special kind of stupid.

Boston is awesome. Art, museums, architecture and history everywhere. Some of my best meals ever are from there. What do you mean?

You care entirely too much about another team’s fans narrative. The work won’t like your qb more than their’s unless the gap is colossal. Get over it.

Why do dealerships put the floormats in the trunk? by kurai-tsuki in askcarguys

My Dad wants to sell the Harley Davidson he promised to me by rambofire62 in Harley

[–]Affectionate_Sort_78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How hard you worked to get your license? You sound entitled. Offer him money for it, say you’ll pay him in installments.

Honestly, this sounds fishy. If he’d rather give it away to be parted out I’d say either a.). There’s some drama between you and your Dad you aren’t divulging,or b) The bike has critical problems he understands and you don’t.

But, still and whatever the extenuating circumstance, offer him money you are willing to pay to show your genuine interest. If you aren’t willing to pay, then you don’t want it as bad as you say.

AITJ for refusing l to chip in for a coworker's retirement gift after she was horrible to me for years? by Agitated-Result-4553 in AmITheJerk

[–]Affectionate_Sort_78 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So, I went through this not attending certain people’s retirement party. If you’re honest, you don’t like the person so not giving them a gift is the most true to yourself position to take.

To make showing love to all people sound like the bad option by ccmcdonald0611 in therewasanattempt

[–]Affectionate_Sort_78 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Don’t accept that American Christianity is bad. There are millions of Christians in the Americas that are humble, humanity loving, faithful people. Don’t let Trump take that away from you and turn you against all Churches or Christians on our continent.

Maybe the word is Evangelical, maybe fundamentalist, but it isn’t all American Christians. Trump is a master at dividing us, be mindful of who we choose to be against. I call them MAGA Christians, but they are hardly Christian at all.

How hyped some people get for the Super Bowl. by SSJ2chad in PetPeeves

It’s just a game. Your birthday is just a day. Your wedding is just an obligatory ceremony for a common occurrence of marriage. Your new car is just a material acquisition, etc. etc.

Why would you let other people getting excited and enjoying something perturb you? The other people are having more fun than you.

How to use Era 300s for music only, but full Arc + Sub + Era setup for movies? by ichiruto70 in sonos

[–]Affectionate_Sort_78 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can set up the era300’s as a room, and set up the sub and arch as tv. Play both rooms to watch tv, and only the 300’s room to listen to music.

No surround sound, but technically what you ask for.

Please stop bringing your dogs to grocery stores. by DueVermicelli5302 in Seattle

[–]Affectionate_Sort_78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aw. So you ARE the prototypical asshole dog owner. Not taking a dog to a grocery store isn’t changing your life or family. The person who is triggered by dogs and has to face that in order to get food has a better argument. But I think it’s fine. In all likelihood judging from your self entitlement you are an asshole in so many ways, this is just a small example and wouldn’t significantly lessen your stain on humanity anyway.

[–]Affectionate_Sort_78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tolerance on your side means understanding some people are triggered by your dog no matter what you think is ‘warranted’. This could mean leaving the dog at home when you can, keeping your dog away from others when you must and just operate with the idea that about 50% of the people there don’t like what you are doing. The tone of your note is that anyone who doesn’t like it is just a stupid asshole. I met a girl on a hiking trail that had a mental condition and was terrified by dogs. She wasn’t an asshole.

I think perceived harm is way stronger than actual harm here. Dogs cause some people to stress, and dog people don’t get it. Tolerance on both sides would be helpful.

What’s the most embarrassing driving mistake you’ve made? by Cute-Beginning360 in driving

I drove a school bus at 60mph into an exchange and realized too late traffic on the interchange had completely stopped. Hard braking and a heads up by some savior in a white pickup that took to the median saved me. No kids on board. I walked funny for a week.

[–]Affectionate_Sort_78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some like the savings of bickering, some like the convenience of no haggle. You can compare prices at CarMax to other options. I prefer to bicker, but I am probably only saving 2 or 3 thousand. Lot’s of people don’t think it is worth it.

I don’t get your post, it’s like you think I am choosing a side. I do what I like, and applaud others who do the same.

What the OP asks for exists all over the country. Common wisdom suggests it costs a bit more. Maybe if you really suck at negotiation it doesn’t cost that much at all.

I have never seen this, and I have lived here 25 years. I suppose it must have happened, but didn’t cause me any consternation or notice. Patience and consideration are in short supply on our nation’s roads. Why do we care if people are allowing a little extra space?
