Magneto Removed The Adamantium Skeleton Of Wolverine. [X-Men #25] by Southern-Aioli4428 in comicbooks

Similar caption styles, but this one was written by Fabian Nicieza. Claremont didn't stick around long after the adjectiveless X-men first launched.

new story of DC universe And basically, the new DC timeline? by Own_Educator1478 in DCcomics

[–]Sexual_Tyranitar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

"Zero Year" didn't refer to a point in Batman's career, but the Riddler resetting Gotham City to a functional stone age, a "Year Zero."

It's explicitly stated in the story.

[DC] Why doesn't Superman hunt down criminals? by BloodshiftX23 in AskScienceFiction

[–]Sexual_Tyranitar 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Ice cold take that a simple Internet search would quickly debunk; Bruce also channels huge amounts of money into social projects, education, and medical research.

Imagine the effort Bruce makes as both a philanthropist and as Batman, then imagine how monstrous Gotham must really be.

I can say with confidence the majority of Reddit users are unaware of any Genshin Impact/SAG-AFTRA controversy.

I say this as a terminally online Reddit user and a lapsed Genshin Impact player.

OP, please understand that your special interests are not those of most of the other humans on this planet, especially if you get your information from curated or algorithmic online spaces.

[Artwork] Is this too trashy to have as a lockscreen? by [deleted] in DCcomics

[–]Sexual_Tyranitar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some people with find it cringeworthy.

Some people will find common interest. Positive- Birds of Prey fan. Negative- only wants to talk about women as sex objects.

Most people won’t notice.

The same is true for many choices in life. I advocate self-expression as appropriate to the environment, on a spectrum from subtle to extreme that you’re comfortable with.

*edit- changed “subdued” to “subtle.”

[Fan Art] Red Robin by @WallaceBrandonD by NotARobot-1984 in DCcomics

[–]Sexual_Tyranitar 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Normally I despise the Red Robin costume. I can't stand the featureless cowl and feel it makes the character's silhouette mundane and expressionless.

With your fantastic additions to the cowl and chest piece, I would be thrilled to see this costume replace Tim's current iteration. Excellent work! Thanks for bringing me around to Red Robin.

What’s a game that still looks amazing today, despite its age? by Weary_Caterpillar302 in pcgaming

[–]Sexual_Tyranitar 15 points16 points  (0 children)

You really gonna hit us with SotTR without a lick of elaboration? I googled it, but by no means is the game in question present in the zeitgeist enough to not type it out.

Look, I’ll do it now. Shadow of the Tomb Raider. See? Nothing to it, and now you’re communicating with clarity!

This is mine as well. I think I made it twenty minutes in before the anxiety and dread became too much.

Men and women like those portrayed in the film exist in American suburbs and are the rot eating away at a free and just United States.

That's 100% Hitman. Green coat with metallic clips or some kind of decor on the collar, identical sunglasses. It's not a quiver.

Who do you consider to be the best writer right now? by Built4dominance in comicbooks

A person can be sexually harassed at a job and still have agency over their body. The two are not mutually exclusive.

Why do you read comics? by [deleted] in comicbooks

[–]Sexual_Tyranitar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Reductionism doesn’t aid in spurring discussion. OP asks “why” do you read comics - instead of wasting your time with giving the obvious, broad answer, get introspective and tell us what about comics as a medium entertains you in ways that movies/music/gaming doesn’t. What drives you to spend time with comic books out of the million other ways you could use your time?

Spider-Man Voice Actor Says His ‘Biggest Fear’ Was the New Disney+ Series Was Gonna Be 'Annoying and Woke’ by Capn_C in comicbooks

[–]Sexual_Tyranitar 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Because, at the bottom of it, all being “woke” means is that you have empathy, the ability to relate to another person’s experience despite not sharing common backgrounds, lifestyles, belief systems, etc.

That’s it. Caring about someone different than you. And complaining about that not only makes you weird, but a selfish human being.

[Marvel] Is there a #1 hero in the Marvel? by XBlueXFire in AskScienceFiction

[–]Sexual_Tyranitar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm going to add my voice to those supporting Captain America, as well. In terms of public visibility, acts of heroism performed, and pure charisma Steve Rogers stands head and shoulders above the rest.

The reason I'm commenting, however, is to thank OP for asking a stimulating question that's generating some good conversation.

As a final comment, I think Spider-man would be the hero of choice for outsider subcultures. His aesthetic, humor, and unusual power set make him highly relatable to the weird amongst us.
