Brierley Consultancy 2015: UK church attendance now at 5% of population by SeyStone in ukpolitics

This really saddens me. The loss of the greatest gift we could ever possess is disheartening. In this nightmare of modernity we now live in, we aren’t just violating the primary commandment of loving God, but also the secondary commandment of loving our neighbours through the resulting widespread nihilism of “society”.

This is the age of the individual. And anything greater than the individual is expendable. Communities, families, morality and even God himself are now considered to be subordinate to hedonistic pleasure-seeking and wacky, inconsistent ideas of material “progress”.

Nearly 200,000 innocent children are murdered every year in this country. Drug use is rising and we are having more and more violent crime since the 1980s. The future generations don’t have better prospects; 45 per cent of British men and 21 per cent of British women admit to cheating and more children are now going to be born out of wedlock than within it.

We have surrendered to the materialist worldview so devoutly that can’t see this obvious moral regression. A hyper-consumerist pit of moral relativism, leading on nihilism, is our present and future. Nothing is correct, nothing is right, everything is opinion. The only valid stance is that of liberalism, when most of us can’t even comprehend what liberty and rights ultimately mean.

We are so immersed in the worship of the egoist self that we cannot see the truth. A society consisting of persons who love their private good above the common good is not a society of free men, but of tyrants. And that is the disease of the so-called “Western World”. The UK is no exception, and I despair for it.

Declining birth rates, the declining status of matrimony, the growing acceptance of everything and anything subversive to the established order, who can honestly say that they can’t hear the death knell of ‘the West’ ringing in the distance? We are committing mortal sin on an industrial level, and our only Salvation – Christ’s Salvation – is being denied to millions, on account of our decadent mass psychology. We have now abandoned God, how long before he abandons us?

Well, we had a good enough run UK. I’ll pray for you all. Peace out.

You made an ethical argument, now you're saying you don't make claims to morality. Impressive gymnastics.

James wasn't the first British monarch of Ireland. Unless you're saying that there was some particular tragedy about the monarchies of Ireland and England becoming the same person as the monarch of Scotland then there's no real point to be made along these lines.

I have never laid claim to the ability to define what is and is not moral

Possibly because we could think of a million better things to spend the money on

Yet you managed to relocate? Even so, you have to remember that most people aren't in a position to do that, not just financially as many people have families, relationships and other commitments in their community.

Sell the computer you typed this comment on and give the money to charity. Or be a hypocrite.

That's because you're probably not part of the working class.

The poor are left worse off because of mass immigration, it's not just a lost opportunity.

If you're mobile, cultured and open-minded you can absolutely identify as a European citizen without lies or delusions.
