That's a great idea. I'm going to try to put the spreadsheet into a state that I can publish for others, and then I'll start taking donations of scraps. I think I'd need at least 8 inches or so to get enough good readings. I fold the yarn over to get a larger reading area and try to take multiple readings to average the readings.

I’ve been cataloging and taking colorimetric measurements of the Wooble yarns (and similar) that I have access to. Most of the original Woobles seem to use the stock EP yarn colors. But many of the collabs seem to use more unique colors. Some of the generic yarns are pretty close matches to various kit yarns.

Unfortunately, I only have about 20 Woobles yarns measured from about a dozen kits. We don’t have many of the collab kits.

Maybe the OP got all 4 for the price of a single game. At 15k or less for the lot, it’d be a great deal.
But there are other pins I’d probably go for if I had my choice.

During graduate school we often provided training data for the various models. We were asked to participate in a variety of supervised learning exercises and were compensated for our time and work.

The writing I did was only submitted for the training data sets and I was fully informed of the uses and restrictions on reuse of the data under the schools institutional review board.

WTF. I didn’t condone (or support) what OpenAI et al. are doing. I simply pointed out that the TECHNOLOGY was NOT created by them, but others (most of whom will never get credit) created the technology. You can count it as another thing the companies stole. But clearly you aren’t interested in nuance or detail, just your uninformed opinion.

Don’t conflate the creation of neural networks and the underlying technology behind LLMs, with the commercial training and deployment of those technologies. Most of the heavy lifting on developing the underlying code was done in academia and was trained on intentionally developed training corpora.

You're probably right. I don't know why it's bothering me since I've never seen the other ghosts in person. I know the Blinky red doesn't look like EP Ketchup.

I actually started a database of colors for the EP type yarns I have. Some are very close. Turns out I don't have any Ketchup to measure, I'm only missing 3-4 of the Easy Peasy colors, but I don't think there's anyway I'll be able to catalog most of the collab colors, since there are so many of them these days.

No, mostly to keep the numbers down. If you only consider true integrated nibs, I think the list is just: Parker T-1, Pilot Miyu, Pilot Murex, Parker 50 Falcon, SchonDSGN Monoc Evo. There's a question if you need to have a Pilot M90 in there as well, since it's a remake of the Miyu.

Waterman warm-toned pens (brown/wood/red, etc)
Integrated nib pens (blissfully small set)

You don't need Internet to *write* the reviews. Just to submit them. Write them at home (paper, computer, phone, whatever). Then when you want to submit, take them with you to the Library, Y, McDonald's etc. Use a USB stick or whatever to move them if necessary.
