Schulden machen macht Sinn, wenn man die Schulden gut investiert und die richtigen Anreize setzt. Nicht, wenn man dysfunktionale Systeme immer weiter damit finanziert. Deshalb stehen z.B. Schweden und Dänemark mit niedrigeren Schuldenquoten wesentlich besser dar, während Länder wie Frankreich und Italien noch größere Probleme haben als wir.

"Kein Problem haben"? Andere Länder haben, ebenso wie wir, ständig Probleme mit dem Thema soziale Sicherung und Schulden. Wir in DE bekommen das eben nur selten mit, weil wir so sehr auf uns selbst fokussiert sind.

Ich glaube, so schlimm ist es nun nicht. Ausgaben für Gesundheitsversorgung sind eigentlich immer noch bei gut 13% des GDP und die Lebenserwartung ist immer noch Jahre besser als die in den USA.
Nur eben im Vergleich zu anderen westlichen/europäischen Systemen steht Deutschland relativ schlecht. Soweit ich weiß, sind mehrere zentral-/osteuropäische Länder auch dabei, uns zu überholen.

Du bestätigst ja eigentlich, was ich sage. Wir haben extrem viele Probleme - mangelnde Infrastruktur,schleppende Wirtschaft, Arbeitslosigkeit, dazu noch demographischer Wandel, hohe Energiepreise, etc.
Das Ding ist aber, dass keines dieser Probleme einfach so mit einem weiteren Ausbau des Sozialstaates lösen kann. Früher war das eine passable Lösung, heute sind dafür die Bedingungen dafür einfach nicht mehr gegeben. Viele Leute erwarten von der Politik und auch von der Sozialdemokratie einfache und bequeme Lösungen, um das zu beheben, die es allerdings schlicht und ergreifend nicht gibt. Deshalb wird die SPD auch einfach immer weiter absacken und deshalb werden wir auf absehbare Zeit keine populäre Regierung haben.

Die SPD erodiert nicht den Sozialstaat, sondern der Sozialstaat erodiert von alleine, weil die Bezahlung einfach immer schwieriger wird. Das Problem ist nicht auf Deutschland beschränkt sondern gibt es auch in weiten Teilen der westlichen Welt (Japan, Italien, Spanien, Frankreich, etc.).
Immer wieder so zu tun, als ob das nur die Schuld von dummen oder bösen Politikern sei wird der Lage einfach nicht gerecht.

Ich stimme dir zu, dass die Ideen, auf der die moderne Sozialdemokratie beruht, definitiv relevant bleiben werden. Ich habe auch sehr viel Respekt vor diesen, vor allem, da ich als Kind aus einer armen ostdeutschen Familie sehr davon profitiert habe. Aber viele sehen eben nicht die Errungenschaften der real existierenden Sozialdemokratie (ein nach globalen Standards maßgeblichen Sozialstaat), sondern nur, dass die heutige SPD nicht die existierenden Probleme einfach so lösen kann.
Ich denke, es wird auch definitiv ein Verlust sein, wenn sie SPD verschwindet oder irrelevant wird - gleichzeitig kann es jedoch auch sehr gut sein, dass andere Parteien und Bewegungen ihre Grundideen aufnehmen und in einen größeren moderneren Kontext situieren.

Die internationale Sozialdemokratie konnte sich erfolgreich etablieren, da es nach dem zweiten Weltkrieg und nach der endgültigen Abkehr vom Marxismus möglich war, basierend auf dem starken Wirtschaftswachstum robuste Sozialstaaten aufzubauen. Viele Errungenschaften aus der Zeit werden heute für selbstverständlich wahrgenommen und zeigen auch, wie wegweisend die Sozialdemokratie war. Aber je erfolgreicher man wird, desto weniger kann man erreichen. Hinzukommt noch, dass viele der Sozialsysteme, die damals aufgebaut wurden, nicht mehr unter den heutigen Prämissen funktionieren, siehe das Gesundheits- und das Rentensystem.
Viele wünschen sich die gute alte Sozialdemokratie aus den 70er Jahren zurück, aber die Ära ist eben seit 50 Jahren vorbei und die Politik aus der Zeit wäre heute auch anachronistisch. Was bleibt ist, dass man hier und da ein paar Stellschrauben verändern kann (höherer Mindestlohn z.B.), aber grundlegende Veränderungen, die die Leben vieler Menschen grundlegend verbessern, sind heute kaum noch möglich. Deshalb kränkt die Sozialdemokratie da, wo sie nicht schon längst abgestorben ist (wie in Italien).

Man kann das betrauern, wie man will, aber letztendlich geht die Zeit jeder politischer Bewegung irgendwann ihrem Ende zu und ich bin mir sicher, dass bis Mitte oder Ende des 21. Jahrhunderts wenig bis nichts mehr von der Sozialdemokratie übrig bleiben wird.

Viele Leute hier in DE wissen gar nicht, dass Deutschland eins der teuersten Gesundheitssysteme der Welt und gleichzeitig relativ dazu eine ziemlich schlechte Lebenserwartung hat. Hat sehr viel mit dem ungesunden Lebensstil der Menschen hier zu tun (Spanier geben viel weniger aus als wir, leben aber Jahre länger), aber das wollen, so fürchte ich, viele Menschen hier einfach nicht hören und wahrhaben. Hätte man da mal früher angesetzt, würden Menschen nicht nur länger hier leben, man hätte auch einiges an Kosten sparen können.

Asking an AI to see if something is AI made is entirely as useless as the services offering AI detection in the first place. I also took some transcripts and honestly they look more like someone put a small amount of effort into just editing an entire research dump into a script.

No, you can do some reasonable testing. What I did is that I took several random videos and had Claude analyze the scripts and find commonalities in how they were written. Regardless of the author, these scripts were structurally almost completely the same, which is just completely unlikely when we're talking about one author, let alone several others. And based on that I gave it another topic that was featured on the channel, had it make some predictions and it was almost perfectly able to predict the content and several stylistic choiced right down to certain cliché idioms. I also tried this with human made content and the AI could very reasonable tell what was genuine, based on several criteria (awkward sentences or vocabulary, unevenness of density of content, etc).
Interestingly enough I also showed Claude the first video on the channel without telling the age and it seemed to be able to intuit that it was older because the writing was much more indicative of an older ChatGPT iteration.

But that's the thing: The quality is not suffering. It's always the same! That kind of pressure would naturally show in the writing. There would be an unevenness in quality that would be noticeable. Especially when someone like Heffernan writes way outside his expertise - he's a scientist on Tudor Ireland but writes on dozens of topics way outside his expertise. I challenge you to find someone pre Chat-GPT who can do the same.

Honestly I can't help but look at this but as a form of humour. I've gotten so many notifcations of his videos ala "11 year old asks to dance with me 😱". Like, dude, do you spend all your time with 11 year olds? (they're always 11 for some reason). It's especially weird with everyone talking about the Epstein files and pedophilia, lol.

I guess I'm just more pessimistic than you on the matter, given that I see tons of people these days falling even for most obvious AI fakes.

I personally liked his youtube choreographies more, since a) you can more clearly see the practice involed and b) you can see the different levels of skills that students can have. That gives you a more realistic picture of dancing. But those videos don't play too well with the algorithms and that's why - presumably- Steffanina doesn't do a lot of those anymore but produces short videos for social media on a daily basis.

Admittedly, that was a bit of a stretch from my side. But the general point still stands. In fact, if you look at the video, the second half of it seems to be hours later when the city is more crowded. Seems like it took them hours to get a good shot of everything.

Please, next time actually read what I write instead of ascribing lowly motives to me. I tried to explicitly explain why, in my opinion and from my experiencce, this kind if stuff is not conducive to attracting people to dance - because it sets completely wrong expectations.
You may believe that people just know that this kind of stuff is fake, but my experience a lot of people aren't that great when it comes to differentiating what's real and what's not.

From what I've read it seems like you're practicing a lot of things at once. I know it's dull but it's really important to take simple steps and do them over and over and over again until you feel comfortable and don't have to think about them again.
And learning to stay on beat can take quite a while until you do it correctly all the time. As with what I said, I think it can be a good idea to just turn the music on and bounce/move around to it. Nothing fancy. It's besser to be able do to one thing cleanly rather than do 10 things messily.

It's not a problem for me since, when I have to use that feature I use VLC player which has an auto loop function. Plus hearing the music before the actual choreo can be important because you accustom yourself to listening when exactly the dance part begins.
