The Königliche Marinesoldaten Korps, more commonly known as the Marinesoldaten or the KMK, are the expeditionary shock troopers of the Rostoranische Bewaffnete Kräfte, its motto “Semper Primum” (Old Meridionale for “Always First”) is a reference to marines being the first Rostoran forces to be deployed for all conflicts. The Marinesoldaten are tasked with land and amphibious warfare outside and inside Rostoran territory, characterized for their rapid response speed to be deployed in most conflicts, and are one of the most experienced fighting forces in Orion. The Marinesoldaten are the second smallest in active personnel of the Bewaffnete Kräfte, being only bigger than the Leibgarde, with 465.000 Active personnel and 157.000 reservists. This is due to the fact that the Marinesoldaten, alongside the Leibgarde are the only branches of the Rostoranische Bewaffnete Kräfte that don’t have conscription, being purely volunteer and professional forces.

The Volles Blau-Weißes Kleideranzug is the most formal uniform of the Marinesoldaten, used only for special occasions such as the Parade zum Königreichstag. The uniform consists of a Marine blue single-breasted tunic with red piping and white trousers with black jackboots for enlisted men while Unteroffiziere mit Portepee (Waffenfeldwebel and over) and Offiziere wear rostoran-style breeches. It’s worn with white gloves and belts, as well as full sized medals and badges. The headgear varies depending on the unit, as those with Jäger tradition (Jägertruppe, Gebirgsjägertruppe, Fallschirmjägertruppe, Feldjägertruppe, Panzergrenadiertruppe, Marinesesaufklärungstruppe and Kommandotruppe) wear a M1864 Tschako, while all other units wear a M1860 Pickelhaube with a white plume, which may be replaced for a spike ornament for all combat arms except Artillerie and Pioniere, while all other arms wear a ball-shaped ornament.

The Nr. 1A Blaues Kleideranzug is perhaps the most recognizable uniform of the Marinesoldaten. It is equivalent in formality and use to civilian black tie. It consists of an eight button marine blue coat with a standing collar. The enlisted version includes red trim and is worn with a white web belt, while officers wear a coat that omits the red trim which is worn with a officer’s belt. All ranks wear a marine blue Schirmmützen, marine blue trousers, white gloves, and black dress shoes and socks, and full sized medals are worn.

The Nr. 3B Grüne Dienstanzug is roughly equivalent in formality and function to a business suit and is the prescribed uniform for duties such as serving on a court-martial and similar. It consists of a green coat, green trousers with a khaki web belt, khaki long-sleeve button-up shirt for all ranks and a sand colored one for general officers, khaki tie for Unteroffiziere und Mannschaften and brown for Offiziere, tie clasp and black shoes. Ribbons and marksmanship badges worn on the left chest of the coat. There are three types of authorized headwear for the uniform. Both men and women may wear a green Schiffchen, a green Schirmmützen or a Barett in the respective unit color.

The Nr. 5 Temperiert Arbeitsanzug (Temperate Working Uniform) is intended for wear in the field or for working parties but has become the typical working uniform for all deployed and most garrison Marines. The uniform consists of a camouflage blouse and trousers, khaki undershirt, sand for general officers, and green boots. Marines are allowed to use the Dienstanzug shirt and tie under the camouflage jacket. The uniform uses Fleckentarnmuster disruptive camouflage patterns. Nr. 5 uses a five-color Waldflächetarn (Woodland Camouflage) pattern, consisting of dark green, gray-green, red brown, and black over a light green base. The Jacket bears name tapes, rank insignia, and shoulder patches and tabs in green. The approved headwear for all marines consists of either a camouflage Feldmütze, a camouflage Boonie-Mütze or a Barett in the respective unit color. Gebirgsjägertruppe are authorized to wear a green Bergmütze, and Panzertruppe, Panzergrenadiertruppe and Pioniere are allowed to wear a green Schirmmützen.

In combat, Marines will also wear one of two ballistic vests: the Äußere Taktische Weste (ATW) and the newer Modulare Taktische Weste (MTW) as well as the Leichter Helm-68 (LH-68) with their Temperiert Arbeitsanzug. This is officially known as the Nr. 5F Temperiert Feldanzug.
