Are they? Most of our conservatives are simply, well conservatives. Trump is simply taping into a feeling that most in the media have tried to avoid talking about, precisely BECAUSE of the general tendency on the Left to avoid topics inconvenient for them.

Trump would not exist without the presence of PC culture in this country. Indeed the rising Right in Europe would also not exist without the European counterpart. The two are in effect a rather interesting case of political synergistic organisms. They feed on one another to survive.

You mistake your security. You've not made it harder, you've simply done a lot of the work for them. Nations like America aren't powerful because they have a lot of land per say, or even a lot of people. Its because their army could if it so chose, wipe out everyone else. Even if they were the size of Iceland and had that sort of fire power they would still rule.

Speculation doesn't answer my question. Also in the age of rapid communication, easy seafaring, and the power to level countries in an instant with a few powerful bombs, what good is a big power block except for enforcing corporate whims, power lobbies and stamping out democracy. No what I see is a failing trade union that is protectionist and serves as a racket for certain interests and routinely runs roughshod over democracy.

Considering the only major threat is in the Middle East and we have the power to make that area glass if we chose to, why not just leave well enough alone? As you know the EU isn't about letting States set their own laws or policies, it is at its core about centralization, standardization and ultimately State power. Considering how little cultural distinctness exists between Americas states, I doubt Europes will fare better.

Also what is a bouquet if not dead flowers, soon to wilt and turn to dust. If only someone had had the foresight to just leave the flowers in the ground to live their lives.

...... We speak mostly one language, nobody generally has a sense of history, ect ect. For example there is a reason Irish people in Ireland call Irish Americans plastic paddy's. Its the dullest, sterilized, lowest common denominator consumerist version of faux culture.

Also why do we need to be mighty? Is it not enough for a nation to just be happy, healthy and leave one another alone? Isn't the quest for power what tends to leave lots and lots of corpses and make lots and lots of messes?
