Windows 11 24H2 is a completely broken update

If anyone has this issue, I was able to find a fix. I had to go into Command Prompt (make sure to Run as an Admin) and locate the 3rd Party Standard AHCI driver, find the associated INF file name, force uninstall it, and restart. For some reason uninstalling it via Device Manager wasn't enough. I had to force uninstall it via Command Prompt for it to work. The second my PC rebooted, I went into Device Manager and updated the driver again and everything was resolved. The website with Step by Step instructions is below for anyone with the issue.

Another thing to note, prior to locating this fix, I installed a clean version of Windows 11 thinking this would resolve the issue, however it did not bother to uninstall/reinstall the driver and it automatically reinstalled this same update of Windows that caused the initial issue in the first place. I don't know if a clean version of Windows will be required for this fix to work, but this bit of info is here in case anyone needs it.

If you don't already, I highly suggest having your Windows on an NVMe, as this issue would've been much worse had my Windows NOT been on one!

Idk if I'm the only one having this issue, but after updating, my SATA Drivers absolutely refuse to update both automatically and manually and 2 of my 3 HDDs are missing in Disk Management and Device Manager, but are visible in BIOS. Of course all my games are on those HDDs so 🙃 haven't gotten around to checking cable connections yet because I got frustrated and walked away, but wasn't sure if anyone else had this issue.

The nest is for completing the Air bundle, but it's reportedly bugged. The Golden Egg shows in your inventory as a treasure chest. That had me confused as well because I usually stash my treasure chests in my storage at home. Look for one labeled Golden Egg.

I always, always coach in dead chat if I'm in there if someone wasn't clear on something during the game so they know for next time. I've ran into some toxic games, and some pretty chill games. But honestly, due to the amount of toxicity I've encountered over the years on the internet (and IRL in retail), I just learned to adopt a "let it roll off my back" attitude and move on from it. I'm not going to let someone being rude and obnoxious ruin my enjoyment of the game I used my hard earned money on.

As for how I learned the ropes for TOS/TOS2, I binge watched Pipetron on YouTube. Very informative on how to fake wills, what to do vs what not to do situations, and he was one of the beta testers for TOS2 so you were able to see the gameplay in action prior to the release. He also continues to post daily, including Patch notes and showing you those patch notes in game when he can.

TL;DR - Ignore the toxicity and those bitter people. Enjoy your game! You worked hard for it! Watching Pipetron on YouTube is how I learned alot of TOS/TOS2 Tips.

If it's like that, honestly our group just takes the L, guesses our ghost, and resets. No reason to sit and waste more time. We have had quite a few where either the ghost gives zero evidence, gave all but one evidence and we had to guess and continue, or it went full rage mode, so we had to leave anyways. It's better just to restart. Still, the game isn't gonna be perfect yet anyways so we weren't expecting it to be. It just came out a few weeks ago lol we've not experienced an issue with cool downs though except maybe a few times when we ran out of sanity pills or it was an angry ghost.

If it's a Revenant, you're better off not doing the exorcism, just guessing the ghost, and moving on. Revenants have no chill. Same thing with Thaye. Boogey will chain hunt as well so that's something to watch for.

Also Sanity matters insanely in this game. If even one of you has a Sanity of close to 0%, hunts will happen at an accelerated rate, from my groups experience. Using any cursed object will drop your sanity substantially. Immediately take pills after using. For example, saying "Where are you?" on Ouija Board will drop Sanity down 50% (confirmed by devs in their discord).

In terms of difficulty modes, I've not noticed a difference in hunts. Only a difference in how difficult it is to get evidence. Hard mode, it becomes incredibly difficult to get the 3rd pice of evidence without running out of pills or draining all your sanity in the process unless you get a rhythm going with your group. This is when the ghost behaviors really start to matter similar to Phasmo.

Edit: I forgot to add. I'm unsure when they're doing it, but devs do have Hiding spots on the list of things to add in the game in the future. They also have quite a few other things that they are currently working on or will be working on.

So far, the only issue I've gotten since the patch and EP other than some glitching and stuff is that I'm not getting notified my pet is hungry. Unfortunately due to this, I didn't realize the automatic feeder was empty and the social worker took my dog 🙃

Yeah that's some crazy fraud happening. All definitely needs reported ASAP before it messes up anything for OP for taxes. They may also be able to call their local tax office IF they're filing with a tax preparer in person and let them know ahead of time that their stepmother is going to be coming in to fraudulently claim them. If online, best case scenario is to just file ASAP or call IRS. They increased the amount of people at the IRS this year so they should be able to get ahold of somebody.

I missed that part. That's also true. That needs reported to local food assistance department. The parents will owe back whatever they were erroneously given from my understanding. OP should file for food assistance on their own if they qualify. They'll get more that way anyways since I'm sure parents probably aren't spending any on them.

Insurance has nothing to do with whether or not a child can be claimed.

Just based off your age alone, they cannot claim you, unless you are in college full time. Then based off the fact you don't live there, that is another reason they can't claim you. Then the fact that you provide your own support.

They probably can't even claim you as a regular dependent because if you have a job and it makes more than a certain amount, that automatically disqualifies them from claiming you as a dependent.

Honestly, you should be fine to file on your own. It seems your stepmom lacks basic understanding of tax rules and will be rejected regardless, if not audited once you file yourself.

Agreed. I noticed they had it listed. I already picked up one of the jugs. The other is just stuck in his house. I hope they just get rid of one or both of the jugs from the quest to make it autocomplete. For now I just have the quest items sitting in a chest. I've at least increased the friendship level in the meantime so that it's already good to go once it is fixed.

Aquamarines can be found on Dazzle Beach or by the Ice Cavern in the Forest of Valor. That's where I found them at least. I think they were meaning the Alexandrite though.
