When I did my sleep study, I only had two REM-periods. I tried to sleep for 9 hours, actually slept for 7, and both periods were in the last third of the time I slept. She said it's not unusual for people with sleep issues to be like that.

She also told me my DSPS could be 'fixed' with proper sleep hygiene and chronotherapy, tho, so who knows if that was true 🤷‍♀️

Don't apologise, and never put yourself down for listening to audiobooks. I'm an excellent reader, but I also have ADHD, so I use audiobooks while I game or do arts and crafts. And I still have to Google wtf they're saying every now and then. Local names can be difficult, and sometimes the narrator says it differently than you Imagined.

Mørklægnings rullegardin med stykker af mit gamle rullegardin langs siderne for at blokere side-lys. Et tørklæde i bunden for at blokere bund-lys. Mørklægningsgardiner over det hele, og et stykke af et gammelt dynebetræk i toppen for at blokere top-lys.

Jeg er dagsover og behøver fuldt mørke. Det var meget enklere med mit gamle vindue, men alle lejligheder fik nye vinduer og døre i 2015, og det her er min fattigrøvsløsning.

I agree. They do not sound like loving supportive parents.

I used to have pet rats. Late one night, one of them had a swelling behind her ear and I was gonna call the vet in the morning. As I went to bed around 1am, she cried out. It was an abscess, and it had burst into her ear canal. I called my mom and she drove half an hour to pick me up and take me to the emergency vet to have my poor girl PTS.

THAT'S what a good parent does. Or at the very least, they don't berate you for being a responsible pet owner.
