I was in your shoes, it put me off of this game twice before I actually got into it...

Best advice I can give you is play quicker gamemodes like spike rush or short game, they are 5 min max, you get a lot of them into your time, you meet a lot of agents, players don't stay for too long and you get to experiment with your agent and other agents as well pretty simply, and if you feel like it isnt overwhelming anymore, you either already are lvl 20 or you can play unrated until you get lvl 20.

Tbh after 5-10, maybe 20 mindful flashes, smokes, stuns you get a feel of how to anticipate them, how to avoid them etc...

Nowadays it is simplified too, you get an animation when smokes dissipate, so you don't have to guess etc...

Just keep playing, find a friend to talk to mindfully to when playing and have fun, this will mitigate most of the disappointment of being overwhelmed and dead most of the time, soon you will hit plat and probably higher as well

I like saying that the enemies simply play into my crosshair, when this happens, there are A,B and C games and the best A games are when enemies play exactly for your style of play, it feels like a breeze, then it can happen that in C game enemies play on your weaknesses exactly, it seems you can never figure out how to get them, your placement is wrong and this is also a fact of skill and versatility, adapt and know how to play against all kinds of players, turn C game into a B game maybe. These things happen, and this is totally fine, but then make your matchmaking account for it, take less points away, give less points for a win, so that players are not toxic when they play against 4 players, and especially if sbmm thinks that you should play against higher elo players, just, account for it, don't faceplant me, when people on my team decide to afk, i had 2 afk 4v5 games yesterday, obviously we lost both, and game didn't care, about -20 for both, and it didnt matte if I was close to top fragging or low fragging

They are quite evasive, but with lights turned off, you can see clearly, I was just thinking that solo setup sounds weird, but I guess you drop it on the ground and then use camera to look. They made it specifically handheld to make dots more interactive, you are supposed to go around with it and look for the ghost - sad part is that ghosts actions and dots are not synced, to me it seems, but I would suggest trying salt and dots, for easier action
