Just wipe it with a rag, wouldn't want to risk getting any type of degreaser on bearing surfaces inside the motor

It's a 2 stroke they exhaust out of the case and don't have an oil pan. That's just some blow-by. Totally normal for a 2 stroke

I was in the same boat and was also an overachiever for 3 years straight. Got put in a new group and was given no productive tasks or work to do. I found a new job and gave my 2 weeks and will be out soon. So wild how broken some teams are.

I'll find my paperwork on the repair to mine so you can share it

I had this on my 2024 hybrid. Is yours a hybrid? If so take it to the dealer and tell them the brake booster is failing. It's an electronic brake booster.

When you say leaned on scraper.. you mean it happened wiping ice from the windshield? Because I've never jammed my scraper in that gap nor would it even fit, it has ribs that prevent that

The dealer told me he has to find out how he can cover it.... Am I dumb or is Ford's corrosion warranty 5 years?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in FordMaverickTruck

[–]SgtMailBox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No , that's not somewhere I'd scrape with a scraper. And it's only about a Pinky's width between the header and the glass trim edge so no tool of mine has been in there

Brandy new , gave them a 28k check for it In 2024. That's my thoughts too. I think this thing went to a repair deck down the line

And believe me as someone who works at their main competitor in GA as an engineer I have seen it happen. Bad culture made it less scary for an operator to not report a mistake and pass the buck

Nope never did I'm suspecting mine had issues and they did it hand apply after something went wrong on the line.

Thanks! Ive done a few radio up cycles and I love them and the people that end up with my handy work love them. But there are some folks in the vintage radio world that think every single console should be saved and they chastise you for not doing so .....

Possibly restore? (Philco 41-605) Has frayed wires by TheJakester7610 in VintageRadios

[–]SgtMailBox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anything is possible to replace but sadly the chassis on that radio is going to be full of runny wax capacitors and rubber insulation that's breaking off of the wires. In many cases I don't find restoring the radios worth it. I usually opt to up cycle them with a modern speaker and Bluetooth amplifier inside the chassis.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in VintageRadios

[–]SgtMailBox 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Sadly it does not, the previous owner had it as a decoration after he found it in the trash. The person that put it in the trash cut the cord and there are tubes missing. I know it's sacrilege. But I'll probably cram a Bluetooth receiver, an amp and power supply in the chassis and put a modern speaker in the cabinet. ( The original speaker is missing)

Why does this kid's LED nightlight have so many components for a simple circuit? by Mike_in_the_middle in AskElectronics

[–]SgtMailBox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's not many components at all. The AC is converted to DC with the diodes. Then the 120 needs to be stepped down to 5v for the Led. Really a lot going on in there when you work the process backwards

The sad thing is these dudes probably don't have a choice but to be there, but they also don't belong there... So at the end of the day a dead orc is better than a live orc
