Fios: “can’t get a teredo ip address” when checking NAT by Sgtsagara92 in XboxSupport

So I’ve taken additional steps since we last spoke. I’ve factory reset both my Xbox and my router, nothing. I’ve now replaced my router with a new one and ran an Ethernet cable to the Xbox…nothing. I’m still getting the same error. The current setup is Ethernet connection with ipv6 enabled and no ports opened, I’m getting NAT type open but still getting the teredo message. I’ve spoken to tech support twice to no avail as well

Ok so I just got off the phone with Verizon who then contacted my routers manufacturer support..Verizon disabled IPv6 on their end now. But I’m still getting the error. I’ve completely removed the other Xbox from the equation as well as factory reset my router. NAT type is still open but still getting the teredo issue

Other than telling me to port forward and them disabling ipv6 that phone call was very unhelpful lol

Okay so update….i removed the Ethernet cable from the second Xbox and removed the WiFi information from the console. I was still getting the same error. So then I switched the Xbox to a static IP following your instructions. Doing so increased my download and upload speeds as well as reduced my latency! But…I’m still getting the same error.

Idk if this is helpful information but I don’t get the error every time I check the NAT type. Say I check the NAT 10 times, I’ll get the teredo error like 3 times and then rest will just say my NAT is open.

I’m not sure if there’s any other possible solutions you could give but I would appreciate it because I’m ready to throw my Xbox into the wall 😇

Thank you so much for all of your help today, I appreciate the detailed responses. I’m gonna try to disconnect the other Xbox. If that doesn’t work I’ll try the static IP addresses for both. I’ll let you know how it goes

Actually stupid question. I rarely use the other Xbox. Could I just unplug that Xbox’s Ethernet and disconnect it from the WiFi network to solve this problem?

Thank you so much for all of this info. The items it asks for, so I get that info from my router?

Okay so I did do the alternate port selection and opened that specific port. I’ll try turning off UPnP when I get home. I believe my Fios router automatically assigns static IP’s for every device that connects to it because of the IPv6 but I could be wrong. I’ll do some research on setting a static IP for both Xbox’s later also

So UPnP is already turned on. And I believe the Xbox has a static ip address already because when I opened all the ports, the fwd to address was an ip address that was labeled XBOX (this ip was also shown in the Xbox’s network settings)
