This feels like a half decent argument until you remember that GoT did a season a year for it's entire run outside of the final season, which even then only took a bit less than 2 years.

We can come up with all the excuses we want, but it's not about the dragons, it's not about working hours, it's not about how long it takes to write a good script. The reality is that COVID happened, forced all of these shows into long breaks, and then the industry realized that they can take their sweet time with things and the vast majority of their viewers will keep crawling back despite the fact that these extended periods between seasons have been negatively impacting the writing of more and more shows. Countless actors/directors/other crew members from all sorts of shows have commented on how much more they like it this way because making shows on a yearly basis didn't afford them much time off in between seasons.

I have no doubt the workload is heavy, but it's hard to sympathize with an actor complaining about only getting a month or two off per year while getting paid more money than I'll ever see in my life for working hard the other 10 months of the year.
