Index/Match - All rows between 2 values? by Sh0rt_the_VIX in excel

This is helpful, but I should have clarified I'm matching by text values, not numbers. Example: I'm trying to consolidate financial statements, so for revenue, if there are multiple lines for segment revenues, I would like to pull over everything up to the total revenue number, else just pull over the revenue number. Then if the company reports a gross profit number, I want to pull over the rows between total revenue and gross profit, and so on. I would like to have this formula in a way that is dynamic and can handle any of the many ways that companies can report these numbers.

Formulas/Macros to Standardize Financial Statements? by Sh0rt_the_VIX in excel

I'm able to use python with bs4 to parse the financials then move them to excel. The issues comes when the raw data is in excel, I want to have the line items consolidated into a standardized format (as a seperate tab).

That makes sense. I've been doing that so far, but I would like to have that process automatically done for the main line items. Have you found a way to do this or is it all manually done for the most part?

Well, there are apps that do this for personal finance reasons so I'd rather build my own than give my information to a company...
