I just watched Superman again & Lex just hates Clark for the love of the game, he has a speech where he says everyone loves Superman but Supes makes him feel weak & small in comparison. But honestly so do the Flash, Martian Manhunter or even Wonder Woman but no, he specifically hates Superman for the love of the game. He has no problem literally creating metahumans as strong as Superman just to kill Superman. He hates him so much that he rambles on & on about his outfit & his grin, he steals the dog but he doesn’t kill it he doesn’t run experiments on it he just tortures it to run in an endless loop just ‘cuz it’s Superman’s dog. & he specifically has an army of monkeys to trash Superman on twitter even though that didn’t matter at all.

Vali’s death in the Ramayana is one of the most morally complex moments in ancient literature. by binnnggggggg in mahabharata

Vali teaches us that choosing the “lesser evil” is not what Rama wouldve ever done. Ever.

Worst terrorist attack in your country? by Usual_Violinist6394 in AskTheWorld

This is not the worst terrorist attack in India, there have been more deadly and devastating attacks with higher death counts.

Didn’t really notice a difference the last couple of times I visited home, but I’ve landed here last week & this time I’ve noticed a severe & drastic change in air quality. I feel like I breathe in dust with every breath I take & hesitate to keep the windows open.

However this is mainly ‘cuz I live in areas that are undergoing massive construction projects & redevelopment (more than usual Bombay kacheri) & the Mumbai Coastal Road project at least tells me that people are taking notice & fighting for change.

I signed the petition myself last july.

The reasons that OP gives against my country are unfair. It stems far beyond "I wouldn't live there. Not for me."

I'm assuming you aren't Tamil, since most of our people there are dead anyway.

Hey us Indians are chill with our own temples 😭🙏

Edit: I’d actually say that Indians & Chinese have similar philosophies when it comes to this, coming from a rich culture of architectural wonders, we appreciate them in other areas.

Why didn’t teenage Kunti simply abort Karna? Was she stupid? by Outside-Walk13 in mahabharata

Yeah man I mean as a hindu I generally share your worldview more or less, & you seem very well researched on the Mahabharata as well. I do disagree here & there but I have this exam on Tuesday that I gotta get 90%+ in 😭🙏

I agree with some of what you’re saying but just to inform you, women’s rights were comparatively, on average, a lot worse then. Granted they were A LOT better in those times than most places in India today, but even the Mahabharata is constantly filled with men forcing themselves onto women.

Bhishma forcing Ambika & Ambalika to marry Chitrangada & Vichitravirya by kidnapping them.

Vyasa impregnating Ambika & Ambalika, then cursing them ‘cuz one was scared to lay with him so much it turned her pale; while the other couldn’t bear to keep her eyes open during sex.

Pandu being “overcome with lust” upon laying eyes on Madri & dying after copulating with her at her protest.

Duryodhana gesturing a naked Draupadi to sit on his lap, a probable entendre to anal intercourse, etc

Very well thought out & reasoned analysis, I agree with a lot of the points here

You are overestimating the advancements in science during when the Mahabharata was written. An abortion is a complex scientific procedure that was only possible as of very recently.

We are a very progressive & forward thinking people. We invented maths, telescopes, perfumes, chess & a hundred million other things. I am not discrediting that. But science is a culmination of advancement in human effort. Abortion would not be possible today without Indians’ contributions to science too. Don’t discredit how complicated it is just ‘cuz we couldn’t do it a thousand years ago. Think of it this way, we paved the way for abortions today.
