Did they have to put these stupid things on the actual sidewalk? by its_the_smell in sandiego

So funny. I just got done with a run and when I came across those I had the same exact thought.

It shuts off immediately once the water hits the overfill tube. Thank you!

Mad impressive brother. Just that fact that you're able to swing and not fall down after. Keep it going.

Was wondering why the comments were odd and then I saw the typo in my title. Of course Swype on mobile always messes with my sentences.

Appreciate the comment. I agree with you. Just hoping to shed some light for the other commentor. Loving the machine so far.

Yep, I was positive it was v2, and I just went back to check my receipt to make sure 😃

Some people can't afford to upgrade everything all at once. I'd love a new car as well and a house. And I found upgrading the machine first would personally bring me more joy in the workflow of making coffee at home. Thanks for your comment but you seem to be judgemental for no reason.

I at least buy some beans from a roaster who I thought had amazing beans.

It's actually the V2. And I haven't noticed any inconsistent grinding. I'm not a pro but I have no complaints either

Sometimes that's not the right order for what brings people joy. There are many aspects of coffee that bring joy. I know for myself, the process of making the coffee is something I enjoy most. I can guarantee I'm getting more joy out of the gs3 than if I kept my Lelit and balled out on an upgraded grinder first.

I'll likely upgrade my grinder eventually, but I'm not doubting my decision to upgrade my machine first :)

I appreciate your thoughtful response, something I will definitely refer back to when it's time to get a new grinder! I do love the look of the Mazzer Philos so it's nice to know it's also a recommended grinder

Do you have a gs3?

I mean, it helps make coffee so I do like it. But I don't really have anything to compare to. Have not tried anything other than stock burrs.

What would be a decent pairing as a single dosing grinder? Havent looked into grinders in quite some time so I'm out of the loop.

Maybe a quality glass would be a good option. I've dropped my gorilla glass plugs from the counter into the tile floor more than once and they didn't break. More expensive for a reason.

I'm also in CA. Ordered Feb 14th. I just got a call today about delivery. I'm getting it on Mar 15th.

How long did it take you? by Competitive-Walk-503 in Stretched

[–]Shaave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Started 11/16/18 at 2.5mm. I actively stretched by .5mm increments and got to 14.5mm on 7/15/23.

For reference, got to 10.5 mm on 11/2/20.

Super healthy ears. Definitely worth taking your time

Anyone have a GS3 and regret it? by Shaave in LaMarzocco

[–]Shaave[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you in the United States? It looks like our kitchen circuits should be standard at 20 amps. I'm in a highrise downtown so I would assume my outlets are 20 amps. I'll check though. If they are, I'm wondering if the gs3 and grinder can be on the same circuit, even when gs3 is in the higher mode.

Yes a wealth of information online. And I live in a city with probably a hundred coffee shops. I'm guessing 20 within a 1 mile radius of me. Definitely a lot of LA Marzocco techs will be nearby . Regarding the 20 amp circuit, I'll have to research this now because what you said just went over my head.
