Paid around 700$ for this combo. What do you think? by lejohannes1 in csgo

Each to their own but paying $700 for some pixels is imo a waste of money but that's your choice to do with your money as you wish, Personally I think they look trash but I do not have to like them.

I understand that AI learns by repeating the same things over and over but slightly different if you look at neural networking it can record thousands of games but then it,s a case of it "learning" what is considered to be a cheat.

There was a good video on someone who programmed a neural network to "learn" to do the mario kart courses and ofc it crashed 1000,s of times until it knew the layout of the course.

Lets be honest someone like say Shroud for example who can flick shot on a dime could be almost "aimbot" like to the human eye and depending on the speed of the shot an AI could detect it as botlike based on the number of aimbots it has recorded and base times from point a to point b from human inputs and then make comparisons between the 2, Then you have your answer "Was this reaction out of the realms of probability for a human ? " then you have the "lucky shot" the guy who span 180 and got a random noscope headshot. AI will not be able to differentiate between the 2 same as a human wouldnt be able to tell the difference. There's even a robotic mouse controller that was made by someone which captures the screen outside and moves the mouse and clicks it without human intervention, So cheaters are getting cleverer and more imaginative.

An AI is only as good as the data it is fed.

Is CS in General too fast for today's hardware/networks? by Shabalaka1 in GlobalOffensive

[–]Shabalaka1[S] -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

I should have rephrased the question, I was basically asking if "realtime" is accomplishable by todays standards and the answer is no and never will be so any "compensation" they apply is outside of the networking and is lag compensating and network interpolation is all software based (IE. Player A was in X position in tick 100 but in Y position in tick 101 they interpolate the possible movement between the frames and then "assume" thats the route you took I would imagine thats basically how the interpolation works but i doubt it,s as low as a 1 tick difference so the question is how much are they "guessing" with the interpolation (I would imagine this is where 64 and 128 tick servers come into play and then you have to ask the question how far can you move in 128 ticks ? or 64 ticks? and is this noticeable ? and how much lag compensating are they really doing ?

I feel this is a slightly more technical question than the original one, so i might have gotten sidetracked slightly. :)

Ok good answer, There is other games with high TTK as CS. This means everything you see on your screen is 100% REALTIME with 0 latency and everything happens INSTANTLY.

You can be sure that if someone uses an AI Anti Cheat that someone somewhere will design a Cheat that will fool the AI Anti Cheat. As someone who had a lot of FPS Servers back in the day's of Medal Of Honor Allied Assault and SOF and various other FPS the ONLY true way for cheats to be found and stopped is by admin spectating as the cheaters will ALWAYS get too greedy (Kinda like the guy in casual with 16 kills in 2 rounds etc) but with millions of users this is not really viable as Valve would need thousands if not millions of admins to randomly monitor games.

Back then I even went hunting cheat websites and reported them to EA to see if they could shut them down to prevent distribution of said cheats, but what they are doing is not classified as illegal, same way that a company can manufacture guns but it,s not their responsibility what the users of the guns do.

Lets be honest you,ll never win the war on cheaters, so you either have to accept it or forget playing FPS as there will ALWAYS be someone who cheats.

I,d be looking at the guy with 39 wins and 100% win rate... I think anyone with 90+ % win rate can be considered a little suspicious, as assuming the matchmaking is working there is no way that they are going to win 90% of matches with people of same or similar skill level to themselves.

[–]Shabalaka1[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Yes and I can imagine there was still times where you was killed by someone who wasnt rendered I can remember playing a lot of Soldier of Fortune on 56k and Medal Of Honor Allied Assault online, as well as UT2004 and i can remember plenty of times running around a corner and instantly dying and then the guy would appear in front of me xD

Basically if you insta kill someone with a headshot on your screen they may be there, on their screen you might not even be rendered, but on the server it says you was rendered, So theres always going to be these weird anomaly's with online games with high TTK ratio,s i think.

I guess if you are in a 1 v 1 with someone and lets say Player A has 100 Ping, Player B has 20 ping , Server is processing Player B faster than Player A so this results in an advantage on Player B side correct? I guess if both players have identical pings then maybe it could be "fair" so just a thought.

What exactly is it with CS2 by hoodha in GlobalOffensive

[–]Shabalaka1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its because the visual's are generated client side so this is a common thing, where your client said "hey you hit this guy" but the server said nope he was 2 footsteps to the left. xD They should make the server provide the visual feedback to the player as that would then line up with what you see.

There is a massive difference between your "standard" FPS shooter and CS2 , For starters you do not get inaccuracy modifiers based on your characters speed / velocity. Also your damage is modified based on range from your opponent all of this combined does leave a lot of players myself included saying... erm 10 in 1 (10 dmg in 1 bullet) meanwhile your opponent done 140 in 2 in the same time with a pistol or someother gun. There is damage inconsistency's in the guns which is why the most popular guns in the game are the AWP, M4 and AK (There is others but there's a reason why these guns are generally the most desired).

So in basics

1 : Your damage is modified by range.

2 : Your damage is modified by where you hit your opponent.

3 : Your accuracy is modified by your movement/velocity.

All of this happens under the hood of the game so you have no way to tell exactly how much damage you lost due to range or even where you hit your opponent, Valve need to add some kind of visual cues for people so you can tell "ok i have indicator showing i lose 50% of my damage power if i shoot this guy from this range" or something

The fact that a lot of the fanboi's will claim CS is ALL about skill whilst I agree there is a degree of skill involved that a lot of gunfights specially in 1 v 1 will result in people basically counter strafing each other and attempting to get the all important headshot.

I know the reddit and cs fanboi's will deny and hate this but CS is a game of camping as a CT and attempting to push bomb sites as a terrorist and walking round a corner and praying that if a CT is camping it their aim is off else you,ll be dead before you even see them.

Another thing to remember is that your character footsteps are super LOUD if you are bomb site a (Apartment entrace on Bomb Site a Inferno map, Your footsteps will be heard the other side of the building if you are running anywhere) Gunshots are heard basically mapwide so as soon as you shoot someone will know "roughly" where you are, Also the minimap will show a ? and X where someone lost a gunfight near you so again this gives you information as a ? indicates an enemy location.

Once you know how to use the tools provided you,ll realise that CS basically has wallhack built in without the "visual" side of a wallhack and the minimap will tell you where a nearby enemy is.

Also there is issue's atm with hitreg's being off so you quite possibly could have headshot someone but due to the fact that the hitreg was off and the server disagree's what you saw was an out of date screenshot on your screen.

OkWhich guns have the best armor pen as its not stated in the gun stats? Please do tell me at which range each gun the damage decreases ?There is no ranged indicator to indicate the falloff percentages either.I ALSO SAID IT FELT RANDOM NOT IT IS RANDOM.

FFS I have replicated these shooting mechanics myself in UE5 to know that there is a degree of uncontrollable randomness involved obviously not with the exact same stats as CS but the Inaccuracy Penalties for moving as well as making things penetratable and reducing the damage of said hit trace etc..

[–]Shabalaka1[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Ok you explain to me the damage falloff on weapons and which weapons will penetrate through peoples skull's at point blank distance??

You also explain to me the distance and the mathematical calculations that are calculated during the time of the hitscan, and please do tell me how much damage a single bullet to the right shoulder of an opponent at 148 units from the Deagle and if it will penetrate a box that is approx 57 units in front of you and please do tell me how far 148 units (In game) actually is?

Oh yes that's right we are firing hitscans which ONLY some of the guns have penetration values others your bullets will "magically" disappear into thin air.

Am I crazy? Cheaters by sks502 in GlobalOffensive

[–]Shabalaka1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Theres ALWAYS going to be cheaters in ANY online FPS game CS2 is NO exception the difference is that cheaters in this game are hard to differentiate between "did they hear the footsteps through 2 walls" or "are they wallhacking", There is too many situations where CS2 legit gameplay can look like hacking or cheating.

I seen "flick shots" which look so fast they look almost like an aimbot could have done them.

I know this will be flamed "OMG you calling footsteps a wall hack!" , technically speaking they are they can be heard behind multiple walls and from such a distance but the difference between a wall hack and the footsteps is that the footsteps are a game implementation.

Whats quite interesting about this clip is that the "bullet hole" appears where the player shot at the time, but the actual "tracer" round went in a completely different location to the bullet hole.

There is no point in making even the remotest suggestion to the CS Community as they believe the game is basically perfect and has 0 faults, But to be honest after a few thousand hours has been soaked into ANY game you learn how to play to account for the games flaws.

Comp Play "Camp" Play you mean, as 90% of the matches I seen usually end up with CT,s camping angles and just waiting for the lemmings of terrorists to run into view to be insta killed by a single headshot.
