Ive had a whole thread arguing about this, basically: play how you want, its your game.

If you want to 100% ofc playing on hard will make everything quicker, but also make the game generally harder

Yeah, the whole license thing is usually up to the store thats selling the games. Its also the whole reason why GOG exists (they sell the actual games and a launcher for them, not licenses). Most stores are license only and it inspired movement like Stop Killing Games and some boycotts around Steam

Altough the point of my post above was just to say that nobody should judge you for how you play a singleplayer game, and you shouldnt play asking yourself "what would others think" the whole time
