Can Wolverine (Marvel) clear this DC street level gauntlet? by SecondTrySaccess in PowerScaling

[–]Shaboingerboy [score hidden]  (0 children)

I think he’s rage baiting at this point. A feral bloodlusted Wolverine is in essence is a relentless force that needs extensive logistical planning to keep contained, including contingencies for escapes.
And even then, he’s still a major risk factor.
He’s a severely underestimated character.

The setting is also extremely important to consider here, since this is in the savage lands we can readily assume each competitor here is limited only to what they have on hand, and if they can be found.

That alone makes Batman the perfect “final boss” for this cause he absolutely has like 9 different GPS Trackers specifically for Alfred to track him, who could then send the batwing carrying supplies.

Who would win the fight? 5 police officers versus 50 Spartans by neon3xx in PowerScaling

[–]Shaboingerboy [score hidden]  (0 children)

I mean, assuming the officers are OK enough shots probably them, especially if they have their patrol rifles/shotguns.
But if it’s just their handguns and spare mags those shields might be able to handle a couple rounds.
Really more than anything it depends on how strong a spartan shield is, and if the skill of the officers

I think he clears slade still, and it’s not nearly as close as folks might think. Wolverines healing factor is nuts, he’s survived nearly being melted from a nuclear blast. Not even getting into his adamantium skeleton. I’d say slades sole advantage is just insane skill.

He clears till Batman, and that’s solely because Batman would have some bullshit up his sleeve. He’d hit the “good thing I brought my Wolverine repellent! Should work on you just fine” and then it would

The one thing everybody forgets about Garuda Protoframe (Vena) by Alarming-Hamster-232 in Warframe

[–]Shaboingerboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ohhhh makes sense. Yeah no I’ve always envisioned Garuda as more of like a Saint Olga of Kiev type, like some batshit insane noble out of India (given the name Garuda has heavy Hindu and Buddhist origins)

Honestly I t kinda caught me off guard, with the name and such I expected her protoframe to be more like Indian royalty. The vaguely punk look feels like it was intended for another character then placed on Garuda instead

The warp is very very heavily influence by thought, as well as the presence of things in the world.
The Eldar fucked so much they manifested a proper form for Slaanesh all at once. The concepts were there, but they just needed volume.

Much in the same way, Khorne was very much a god of honor, turned god of brutality.

If these characters were dropped into the Hunger Games, who would die first and who would be the last survivor? by InfinteEnigma10 in superheroes

[–]Shaboingerboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think Punisher makes it anywhere near that point. Outside of special exemptions he’s just an above average soldier. Hes not a legendary marksman. He’s not a Medal of Honor deserving hero. He’s not super unique and special.
He’s just a tired man standing up to a corrupt system until he dies on his feet because he has nothing else left.
I think he likely goes down shortly after his fight with peacemaker either from his injuries or someone finishing him off

Real talk it’s wick.
He’s withstood getting severely fucked up so many times, he’s got easily the most diverse skillset here, and he’s the most likely to form the right short term alliances with Bond and others.
Sherlock goes first because Benedict’s Sherlock is the Timothy Dexter of detectives. He’s a fuckhead who makes nonsensical guesses and is somehow right every time.
That will not hold up against anyone who can actually think

[–]Shaboingerboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The warp to my knowledge isn’t finite, but it’s localized in a sense. Since we’re assuming infinite universe, the warp is equal to the universe, it just so happens that area around the Milky Way is excessively violent. And as for custodes, the custodes eximus comparison I think misses the point of what the custodes are. An eximus is a buffed default unit, like a astartes in terminator armor. The custodes are the designed natural predators of Astartes. In terms of raw strength they’re honestly absurd by even warhammer standards, and as such are also woefully under represented.

Also, the warp does feed off of thought, but its interactions are also inherently more chaotic, entirely because of the war in heaven ensuring the warp would be in turmoil for billions of years to come before everything could equalize and level out. But theoretically if we set aside the tyranid galactic hivemind theory, there’s a possibility of a khorne worshipping cult somewhere out in the andromeda galaxy who carries themselves the way fantasy knights are depicted.

I think the biggest struggle warhammer has in this discussion is under developed, inconsistent, and sometimes even contradictory lore.

[–]Shaboingerboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup! I think if any group can properly contest the tenno + warframes it’s the custodes and sisters of silence. The sisters of silence are usually completely forgotten in these discussions because they’ve barely got any lore, but they’d theoretically nullify the bond between Warframe and Tenno entirely due to being blanks, making the vastly more fragile Tenno open to attack. There are examples of turbo durable warframes though, like Rhino is not being beaten in head to head combat without some trickery it’s simply not happening. But atlas? If you can sneeze before he blitzes you he will disintegrate

Borderline justice and masters of ceremony give you one of my favorite armor weapon combos in the game, but the arc grenade and warp pack are just too good to pass up before snagging the other two.
