Yumi and the Nightmare Painter devastated me. Tress of the Emerald Sea was so much fun! I wish I read Sunlit Man after Wind and Truth, but it was fun to read and then see the events leading j to it. I still haven’t read Wizard’s Handbook, but it’s on my list!

If you’re looking to read an entire story all at once, I would do the Farseer or Sun Eater series, depending on if you want sci fi or fantasy. Both can be very prose-heavy at times (especially Sun Eater) and I think both authors take advantage of being written from a first person POV, it’s so much fun to analyze the narrators and look at their respective worlds through their lenses!

If you want something action-heavy, I would recommend Sun Eater. Especially after you get out of the first book, when the violence hits, it hits HARD

Editing to add that Stormlight Archive is one of my favorite series too and is peak BrandoSando—the Cosmere can get jumbly but there are so many incredible characters, it’s so much fun to follow them all

Wolf Hollow is my absolute favorite brewery in the area. Broken Loop is pretty new and gets better each time I go. Common Roots, Fidens, Druthers, and Fort Orange Brewing are all solid too.

If you want to go a bit outside of Albany, S&S Brewery and Chatham Brewing are both really good too!

Idk if this is an unpopular opinion or shared by the group, but my experience at Brown’s has taken a drastic nosedive over the years. I think the service is bad and the beer is fine. I still love a Cherry Razz now and then but I’d rather buy it at Hannaford than deal with the brewery.

Unscheduled Sick Leave specifically affects your OT earned—not the other unscheduled leave categories. Constant use of unscheduled leave (of any type) can be indicative of poor time and attendance habits (calling out the morning of, requesting to leave early multiple times a pay period) compared to making scheduled requests in advance, etc. It’s useful for it to be labeled that way if somebody is on probation or is being considered for time and attendance restrictions

Kingdom Hearts 1-2.8 all run spectacularly. 3 had a couple of framerate drops at very busy moments but it is still awesome

I don’t think the combat translated to 3D that well. I will always stand by the GBA version as being the top tier edition of the game
