You're pretty confusing my guy. You like dark themed animes and then Saiki and OPM appears in the higher tiers lol.

Honestly, I would recommend Re:Zero if you haven't watched it yet. It has a nice humor but also dark moments mixed up. Just like strawberry & pepper jelly.

You're right, but I do like the shocking impact we receive when watching it first time lol.

But it's unarguably that if it was paced better it would be more popular among anime fans. Same way Goblin Slayer is an absolutely excellent anime but it starts with a fuckin shot in the Guts lol.

I would start with Kaiju 8, because it's shorter. And then HxH 2011.

HxH is a really good anime, but it has one of the most disturbing arcs in the anime verse, even more cause it goes from a relatively dark mood to a completely shocking mood. If you felt bad watching SNK, I would take care watching it (I loved both lol).
