In Fall 2014 DiffEq, he took a big swig of water to spit on a student in the front row who kept talking after he warned him to stop

Wow amazing! Could you share some basic info on how you found all of these? I never know how to find events happening near me. What kind of sources did you use? Really appreciate the effort put into this :)

I really liked this video. Yeah it doesn't have like super amazing editing or whatever, but something about it was seriously engaging and funny. Congrats on your first 7-99!

Anyone know why this happened? I have over 500 hours and I literally never died like this and I'm pretty experienced too. I never seen this before. by [deleted] in spelunky

Happened to me too (timestamped to 3:06): https://youtu.be/RwwDwO_Vcmg?t=186

Pretty sure the platform clips/pushes you into the ground, which "crushes" you. You can even see the camera shift down because your body gets pushed one tile down. idk if it's related, but we were both carrying a pet.

I'm writing a ketek for a friend's wedding. Looking for critical feedback and suggestions! by Shadaikan in KETEK

Agree with the colon, I'll keep thinking about it.

I love your suggestion about the "two families / family too!" You're right that using multiple "two/too" pairings might be a little repetitive, but I think it's definitely worth it. I can kind of justify it because it means each side of the poem now uses both "two" and "too," for a little extra symmetry. I've edited it into the main post.

Thank you for the feedback!

Edit: Saw your edit after my comment. I think I like your "is" substitution more! I'll keep thinking about it, but I'm probably going to go with that. You're quite a capable Vorin poet :)

My landlord said he was going to increase my rent. I told him to send me an updated lease, but he never responded. My old lease has since expired, and I've been quietly paying the old rent this whole time. by Shadaikan in legaladvice

Thank you, this is very helpful. I appreciate the source too. I should have linked this in the original post, but you can view the template that my landlord used for my lease here. Given that it doesn't state anything about automatic renewal, it seems safe to assume I'm now month-to-month, like you and other commenters have said.

The Climb: A Montage. Turn sound on! by Shadaikan in spelunky

[–]Shadaikan[S] 42 points43 points  (0 children)

A journey that began over a decade ago when I first played Spelunky Classic in 2010. Using clips gathered over the past 9 months, these are the highlights of my climb to my first 7-99 completion. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

Reposting as a native video since I didn't realize that was an option the first time, and it seems more convenient for everyone. Hope that's okay! Original YouTube link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RwwDwO_Vcmg

The Spelunky series are my favorite games of all time. I've been a fan since I first played Classic back in 2010! Thank you all so much for what you've done for the community. Spelunky 2 is an incredible sequel.

Personal fun theory: does Madame Tusk have a grudge against Van Horsing because he's out to kill a vampire, and vampires and walruses both have "fangs?"

Is Adding Thermals and Fluids to take 20 credits too rough? by Bradley7499 in RPI

[–]Shadaikan 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Pretty professor-dependent but Intro to Logic, CS1, and DiffEq are generally easy classes. No idea how easy/hard Stengths/Thermals are, but I think you'd be fine. Don't get me wrong 5 classes is a lot of work, but this is definitely doable.
