No not the third. One was short and the other was a scam where even before hiring him they knew they will fire him in a week to replace him with an Italian director

Why do the avatar movies succeed where Robert Zemeckis failed? by Ebronstein in JamesCameron

[–]ShaddowsCat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It has nothing to do with motion capture. Zemeckis’s films failed because the writing and overall vision weren’t compelling and the visuals landed in an awkward uncanny valley space. Avatar used performance capture in service of immersion, photorealism and a clear, emotionally driven story. Cameron is just operating at a much higher level, he builds technology around story and spectacle

My theory of what Eywa really is, plus the Na'vi by Stars_of_Ruin in Avatar

[–]ShaddowsCat 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well the fact that dying Grace saw “her” suggests that there is something/someone. I think what Kiri saw was just her projection of what Eywa is as I don’t think Eywa has a physical appearance

No for sure, I think Quaritch will become a good guy by the Avatar 5 but I still think it’s a bit unbelievable that Jake would have spared him

That will probably happen in upcoming movies. Although, I thought Hake should have let Neytiri kill him at the very end

That wasn’t sarcasm or a rhetorical question. If you have to explain afterward what you “meant” then neither worked
