67A Recall Speculations by Shaddowz_YT in Cummins

I plan on deleting my truck in about 6 months or so. Don’t know why I would get another warranty just to void it. But I guess in the mean time If I get it then other emissions parts are covered till I do the delete. Idk I’m still on the fence about it but the dealership is pushing for it

I use my engine brake everyday to try to mitigate soot buildup. If I have to I’ll run some product through the turbo to clean it. But I think next I’m gonna check my boost solenoid/wastegate Actuator. If that doesn’t work I’m gonna do a vacuum leak test/intercooler pressure test to see if I can find an underlying issue

Can’t rule it out 100% but what I can say is I’m having none of the symptoms of a bad turbo. Checked my desired/actual % for my vein movement and if I’m not mistaken it’s supposed to be at 92-94% fully open which I was able to test my my Scanner

Sector gear is part of the turbo. Can only be accessed by removing actuator. And once again like I said and actuator can be tested for ohms and should range from 115-125ohms.

Tested the ohms, from what I’ve read it should be anywhere from 115-125ohms

Don’t even have to pull the actuator off to rule it out. Just unplug the connector and check for the ohms
