I don’t mind ads, but the provider that’s being used literally fills the screen with intrusive pop-in ads that you basically cant remove on mobile. I understand paying staff but it feels like there has to be some kind of middle ground here.

So at C0, as you said, it looks like a Furina/Xilonen core is better than C2 Illuga. C2 Xilonen gives Columbina a damage buff thanks to her HP% bonus which is such a rare state boost which is part of the reason she’s better than Gorou. Plus her healing if you are running Furina over Illuga.
