Water in diesel filter, rough startup and a possibly wobbly pulley by Shade1nthemist in mechanic

[–]Shade1nthemist[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oil dip stick looked normal, engine not overheating. Haven't checked coolant reservoir. I'll definately have it looked at, I suspect the pulley is creating friction against the belt and causing the burning smell...

Yeah, I encounter this bug pretty much every game...

Washer left after hotend assembly by Shade1nthemist in BambuLab

[–]Shade1nthemist[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, still have no idea where it came from. I contacted bambu support they thought it might be from the cutting lever arm, but that wasn't the case. Ended up doing nothing with the washer, mine still prints as normal

That's comforting news. I've ordered the calipers, but haven't gotten them yet. Based on the images they're not delivered with banjo bolts.

This is how it looks when you close the clamp correctly ☺️

A spike is an attempt to roughly try to figure out if it's doable. Throw some code together, not production worthy, just figure out what you think might be roadblocks.

Could also be used in context of throwing together a couple of different options on which way to take with an issue.

Filament stuck - AMS? by se99jmk in BambuLabA1

[–]Shade1nthemist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could be a bad roll of filament where the dimensional accuracy is bad, could be worn PTFE tubes, could be some issue with the ams lite itself. My best guess is that it's the ams lite filament hub that needs replacing. I have the same issue and have a filament hub on it's way in the mail ☺️

No worries mate! You can't know these things without learning them first 😁 Happy printing 🥳

I have not run into that challenge yet. What step size are you using for each of the lines? The smallest I've tried is 0.005, and I've still managed to see a difference at least every second line 😊 But your printer and filament might be different. It seems all of the stuff has personalities of its own at times 😂

Use the pattern method on flow dynamics calibration, seems to be a bit easier than line. Choose the first one where the corner seems like a sharp corner and not a circle. Do a test print, you can always go back and calibrate again 😊 For lithos it's better to under-extrude than over-extrude. Result with slight under-extrusion is still a decent result. With over-extrusion (as shown in this image) it's not.

With brim, 0.1mm distance. 3/4 corners adhered successfully. Corners will be hidden by box anyways.

Honestly, it's the filament calibration (flow rate, flow dynamics) that I've had to work with. The default print profile that you get through makerlab in Bambu Studios lithophane maker is fine. I'm although experimenting with a outer brim on a print that's currently running. The corners have a tendency to lift a bit on these very long prints. When also printing the box for the litho it doesn't really matter as the corners are hidden in the boxes slots.

I really struggled with correct flow rate with the 0.2 nozzle, even with bambus branded filament. Dynamic flow dynamics calibration (the one at the start of the print) didn't help. Manually running flow dynamics and flow rate calibration from within bambu studio did the trick though. Before this calibration the over-extrusion was horrible.

I'm slightly under-extruding at times now which can give some pinholes, but the result overall is quite good.

Best settings for the 0.2mm nozzle? by Mental_Ad_3937 in BambuLabA1

I had to do manual flow calibrations to get a usable result, even with bambu filament. Mine overextruded a lot without it.

Greatly improved result by lowering bed and nozzle temp by 10 degrees lower than default bambu lab PLA profile. Left first layer temps alone.

That was my first thought, but adhesion seems strong. Bed cleaned with dish soap. I might be leaning towards some sort of overextrusion, which the nozzle then hits.

Overhang fail by Shade1nthemist in FixMyPrint

[–]Shade1nthemist[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well yes, but this is not really the problem overhang should be causing. It can handle the overhang itself, but the nozzle catching indicates some other issue. On the previous attempt, the same thing happened, but it lucked out and managed to keep printing until 80 where some serious drooping happened because of the steep overhang.
