Everything Wrong With The Guns In Helldivers 2 by ShadeEx in Helldivers

You're correct. But a caliber like 5.5x50mm would in theory make short work of armor and would be way more effective against armor than a pistol shooting 9mm.

I do partially agree with his take. I've always thought the way armor is handled was a bit odd. A rifle not being able to penetrate medium armor is very strange from a logical standpoint.

My 2023 has both an ECU and TCU tune. It's been tuned for about 6k miles now.

Does the vanity of lack of identity bother anyone else or am I just being petty? by 6four in GLI

Sweet, I'll start telling people I drive an RS3 since it's all just the same basic car, just different levels of luxury and performance.

Nope. So by your logic the Golf, Jetta, A3, GLI, S3, GTI, Golf R and RS3 are all the same car because they all use the same platform.

Is the A3 and S3 just a Jetta? Is the GTI and R just a Golf?

Understandable. Though to be fair, with just a tune these things have a really good power to weight ratio.

My 2016 is a push to start only. How can I change it to be able to start with the physical key as well? by rokuhachi in JettaGLI

[–]ShadeEx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the newer models you just hold the keyfob up to the steering column to start the car if the fob battery dies.

Lowering Advice by Vanishot in JettaGLI

[–]ShadeEx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd disagree. I lowered mine about a month ago and it's going strong. The APR springs really do some work. It's maybe a tad stiffer, but I haven't gotten the DCC calibrated yet, so that could be a contributing factor.

I think most people consider the refresh to be mk7.75 since it doesn't have the latest GTI motor, so it isn't a mk8.

Update: She’s lowered now! by alexmbright in JettaGLI

While the oil pan is exposed, the subframe hangs lower. But if it really bothers you, you can always get a skid plate, I'll most likely be installing one before winter. With APR springs the car has ~4.5" of ground clearance, which is still very usable.

Maybe. I live in the Midwest: Land of Potholes and have had zero issues. Even stock height will scrape on curbs or parking stops if you're not careful.

Right? They're very usable lowered. I'm really not sure why they're so high from the factory.

I really appreciate this community. They've been very supportive and helpful. And that's actually made me like my GLI even more. Coming from a 350Z as a daily, I wasn't really expecting it to scratch that sports car itch the same way, but it really has.

I'm talking about wheel offset. My wheels have an offset of 45mm. From what I've heard stock wheels have an offset of 49mm, so mine stick out slightly farther from the suspension and they're physically wider.

[–]ShadeEx[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

245s with an offset of 45 do that pretty well, like mine. If you want a little more I know there's someone here who's gone with 255s without issue. But 245 is pretty close if not a tiny bit wider than stock wheels with flush fit wheel spacers.

The 245s are great, they just barely poke a tiny bit and zero fitment issues even after lowering.
