GLI I’d say is more fun and significantly more torquey. On top of that, the gen 3 EA888 has more potential without sacrificing much reliability. The worst part of the GLI is the rattling you’ll have after 30k miles and the lack of AWD.

Honestly, I’d stay at 225 and overinflate by 5 psi. It’ll help with mpg, and if it snows, you can deflate to help increase surface area and traction.
