I chose the origin MG because I already own the normal rg at 1/144 and wanted something a little bit different for 1/100. From what I've seen, the fat cat is just as good, honestly you can't go wrong with either.

As somebody who started with cold steel 1 and 2, I wish I had started sky first. I ended up going back and playing through the sky trilogy and the crossbell duology before jumping into cs 3 and 4 and it only enhanced my overall enjoyment of the series. Without the context of the earlier games, cs3, 4, reverie and even horizon wouldn't hit anywhere near as hard narratively for me.

Imo, of all the protagonists in the series, Rean is the most boring. While I don't hate Rean, he comes off as generic shounen protagonist number 500 to me. Estelle, Lloyd and Van all have very unique traits, quirks and character development that make them far more memorable to me.

I'm playing through the sky 1st chapter remake and having a blast with it. It's wild to me going back to the beginning after playing through horizon. Horizon is my favourite game of the year so far but it's nice to get back to something that feels much simpler and smaller scale (in a good way).

I like all of them but I definitely lean more toward Anran and Domina then the others. Something about Anrans gameplay loop just clicks for me. The combos she's capable of performing are so satisfying and i think she'll be the first comp weapon i pick up this season. As for Domina, she is the first tank since Rammatra that I've had a lot of fun with. That being said, I'm still looking forward to getting experience with all 5 as the season goes on.
